Okay so with the recent win in New York for Gay Marriage is it a sign that the "Gay Agenda" is going to win out in the long run? Well that is going to remain to be unseen but I have a prediction as to a change that will happen on the "Right" I wouldn't be surprised that either this cycle or the next cycle that we see far more middle of the road or even socially Ron Paul kind of Republicans why you might ask this shift? Well it is simple for some it will be because Ron Paul is their Idol and they have just jumped into politics the others will switch their thinking because of another reason it is green. The LGBTQ community is some 748 Billion Dollars of cash for their campaigns and right now the Democrats are pretty much getting all of that because of the lack of real Conservatism. The Republicans are going to have to do something to get some of that action or else it will be just a simple battle of who has more money to throw around and will Unions being Democrat supporting having the LGBTQ Community also on their side is a big amount of money to go against every single year.
Now the reason I bring this up is the Republicans right now have a very good time to take some of that money away from Obama why well Obama wasn't the one who went to the courts to get DADT kicked out. That would be the Republicans a very little known fact that a small group that are Republican actually did the hard work of getting it repealed they are the Log Cabin Republicans which is where some of the LGBTQ money goes but not a lot because a majority of the LGBTQ Community are persuaded to be Democrat and vote Democrat because the Democrats have a monopoly on social issues right now. They are able to show hey look at where doing.
I personally feel that the Republican party will slowly reverse back to the way they where before if not because it is the Constitutionally right thing to do then for the simple reason that it is where the money is going to be as most Lesbians and Gays are Dual Income No Kids (DINKs) this gives them the power of having two incomes that combined with most of them having high paying, and high educations really make them able to bring home some serious bread. Oh and did I mention they also are overwhelming in the Media.

I'm really hoping it's more of a "liberty agenda" myself. By that I mean that I hope people become a bit more free to be with whoever they want without government interference.
By the same token I don't want gay people to be able to force their agenda on others. By that I mean I don't want them suing churches and religious organizations that won't marry them or won't allow a gay wedding on their property. Such a lawsuits have happened in both New Jersey and in Massachusetts where churches didn't want gay marriages to occur on property they owned and refused to allow it when asked. Both times they were sued and both times they lost. Churches shouldn't have their first amendment rights violated by the "gay agenda". There are plenty of wonderful non-religious locations that one can get married. I feel the gay couples involved chose those locations to make a statement and force their lifestyle on churches.

I'm pretty much with you on this. Though I think for the most part it's not really anyone's agenda. Most gays want to be free to be gay and treated the same as any straight couple. Gay pride and whatever else they do is fine. I work within the gay community and it really is just a few bad apples giving them a bad name. I know plenty of gay guys that respect that I'm into women and that's that. Some of them are friends just like anyone else. It's only a few guys or girls who think everyone is secretly gay and might sleep with them or that have the "look at me I'm gay attitude."
I find it funny that the guys are suing the church. Since they are both playing the opposite side of the same coin. There's extremist churches that don't want gays to get married and push their religion on other people. Now there's basically some gays doing the same thing to them. It's really ironic, sadly the majority of churches accept gays and the majority of gays don't want special treatment or to sue churches. It's a minority few who can't respect others rights either way that are ruining everything for everyone. People need to organize better instead of suing crying and all this other horse-apples. If a large enterprise is that bad organize a boycott if anyone even remembers what those are and how they work.

Traskr36 yeah I would hope that a liberty agenda was what they are pushing but it seems that the virus that is in the LGBTQ Community is the opposite of what has infected the Republican Party for so many years. They want to push their agenda everywhere. I mean they are pushing this like it is a Civil Rights issue which means they want to end discrimination everywhere at least some. I mean not all of them but it seems like most in the area I live thats what they want to push. I personally am for just getting those rights to marry and have the 1000 Federal Rights that Straight Relationships get. I mean that is discrimination its that simple.
knoodleknight got it right some are and some aren't or as I would some people get it others don't.
I don't think people do remember what those are.

i wont even pretend to understand the gay world but I will say that I have no feelings on the subject one way or another. I do not know the implications or drawbacks of being a gay who resides in America but I would imagine that it is much the same as here in the UK. This weekeknd is Gay Pride here in the UK and there are huge get togethers all over the country. Being gay is nothing new, it has been normal to be gay for centuries but centuries ago no one ever mentioned it.
