I suppose to meet my friend this morning for lunch, since I haven't seen him for while. I do want to keep our friendship, and don't want to distant it. So, that is an opportunity since we would have a July 4th long weekend, and I guess that I would have time on Saturday morning. Two days ago, I IM him on facebook, and everything was confirmed. Unfortunately, this morning, very early around 8:30 A.M. He text me that he couldn't make it, due to his cousin was transported to emergency room last night. He won't be able to make it, so I guess that we should schedule another time. It was a bit ironic, because sometimes, I don't want anyone to bother me, I would rather turn off my cell phone and not response. When I want to invite someone for a meal, my friends just have an emergency and not be able to make it.

hi i have never had such experience dear but i can understand what you must be undergoing when your invite gets dumped just like that .... but instead of taking everything in a negative why dont we just think and give it a positive thought ?? may be your friend was seriously held up with an serious situation that was unavoidable .. so instead of telling your friend that you had been offended just show to him that you are still his friend and that though you are bit disappointed that your plan dint go out well you are concerned about your friends cousin's state of health now .. promise you if you do this your friend will become more close to you if the reason he had given was genuine and if he had just cooked up that excuse to escape from you he will feel guilty and come and apologize to you and if you forgive him instantly you could go on a long planed trip .:):):) have fun :):):)

I know exactly how that goes and that gets very old quick, when people always have an excuse why they cannot make it. I do not make plans anymore with people because of it.
