My Dreams - Are They Going To Happen?

Who among you thinks that a dream is some sort of a premonition? Lately, I've been dreaming about things which I can't remmember when I woke up. One thing is for sure, it was a bad dream. This afternoon, I saw my little brother holding his bleeding hand. He accidentally cut his hand with a knife when he was chopping potatoes. It looks like I've seen it happening but I'm not sure if that was my dream. Then after few minutes, my neighbor knocked on our door to inform us that our place will be celebrating fiesta next weekend and there will be a street party. I didn't understand why I feel terrified instead of surprised and excited. Is it because it was part of my dream and the party didn't turn out good? Who else can share their dreams which came to real?

Dreams are just dreams, mainly... and we rarely remember them. I think your imagination is taking you farther than your dreams are taking you. You can remember them but you are afraid that the cut hand and the fiesta are part of the dream? Either it is or isn't, and since you can't remember your dream, you don't know what it is. You may suffer from some anxiety from the fear associated with what your dream consisted of. I've had dreams before that I thought were prophetic, but in reality, I think dreams are just the brain sending off signals and we perceive them while we are asleep as events happening. It's fun to look up dream analysis, I've done that before, but I don't believe it as gospel truth. Our dreams are part of a biochemical reaction in the brain.

Thanks PointlessQuestions! Your response isn't pointless. LOL You sounded so scientific. I think you're right. I just woke up from a bad dream when I saw my brother bleeding that's why I was not feeling well about it. :)

very difficult to descript that, but i think dreams can become true. If you think ur dreams all positive thing to do, do it and get ur dream come true.

Dreams -After reading ur posting I checked up with a site: Blood "To dream of seeing blood stains you will have much trouble from an enemy if you start a business or other enterprise. If you are doing the bleeding try to stay out of confrontations with family and friends, the blood may not be literal but rather, signify a state of 'bleeding' emotions. If the blood is seen as a transfusion your troubles will not be long-lasting." http://www.sleeps.com/dictionary/bbb.html My view- yes when u get a dream like this you feel horrified and nothing wrong in that. On such occasion pray to your favourite God and put the blame on Him. good day./

Thank you so much ravisivan. It's so nice of you to do some research regarding my dream. I don't know what to believe but nothing will loose from me if I consider the interpretation of that website you searched on and follow their advice. Good day to you too! :)

I think some people have that capability to see things ahead of them in any form. I don't want that to happen to me because I don't know how to handle such things. Just pray if you had bad dreams or pray before you sleep to keep you away from all the bad dreams.

I once read a book, saying,"If you don't turn over your body after dreaming, you will remember your dream; if you do so, you can't remember it." I don't know if it is ture because I really can't remember if I have turned over my body:)

Oh, I didn't know that. If it's true then I have to remind myself to turn over everytime I wake up so I won't remember anything in my dreams. It only bothers me. Thanks imfelix! :)

I think you are just over reacting. Don't always link the things in your life with your bad dreams otherwise you will just miss out the fun waiting for you outside. If you are really in trouble knowing about your dream, may you can try to consult an expert for dreams.

Thanks sugutoorkarthik! Yeah, I usually don't take dreams seriously but it was coincident and I thought m maybe it was related to my dream. It feels like I've seen it happening before.

I do believe in the power of our subconscious mind, which is basically what a dream is. Our dreams can be premonitions of what is to come, I have seen that happen. It can also be a way for us to realize what we won't allow ourselves to realize in our waking life. I believe they are messages, ways for us to understand what we should do, also a way to relax as sometimes good dreams stay with us for a few hours and improve our mood. I love to dream, and used to could remember everything I Dreamt, not not so much.

Thanks for sharing SomeCowgirl! It seems strange though. If dreams can serve as premonitions then who allows us see what's going to happen and why? It will happen anyway and can't be prevented.

I don't believe that dreams hold any subconscious, symbolic, or prophetic significance. So no, I don't believe that dreams can be premonitions. There's a theory (I'm not sure whose because I've only heard it thirdhand) that dreams are the brain running through simulations of life, and occasionally it will hit something right and we'll get that sense of deja vu. I'm not sure it's legit, but it makes more sense to me that dreams could occasionally get eerily similar to life through random simulation then that some people actually have premonitions of things to come. Think about it... we all dream every time we have a full sleep cycle. Not all of us remember every dream we have, but that doesn't change the fact that we do dream a TON. If you could remember all of your dreams, then I doubt you would see that they all pointed in any one direction. Dreams are random... they can cross all over the board. There's bound to be at least one or two that hit you as something that could happen in real life.

I had dreamed of finding my long lost eyeglasses that was nowhere to be found. In my dream, a certain classmate approached me and asked whether the eyeglasses she was holding was mine. I nodded and asked her as to where did she found my glasses. She told me in the dream that it was hanged on a tree. I didn't take that dream so serious, but I was surprised because that day after my dream; everything happened exactly according to my dream. I don't know how and why.
