When I was 10 years old, I have this kind of nightmare that will make me wake up at the middle of the night, I am crying every time I wake up. The nightmare was so horrible, There was a big monster with big hands playing with so tiny little girls in a ballet dancer costume, the scene was so dark. The monster is having fun watching little girls dancing then he started holding them so tight with his hand, He killed the tiny little girls, That's the situation i keep waking up to, and tears really falling from my eyes with my hands trembling from fear. I have suffer this nightmare for almost a year, the same nightmare. Even If I don't understand exactly what's the nightmare mean. What do you think about my nightmare? does it mean something?

I'm sure Freud would have something to say about a fear of hurting women or a fear of being a parent or perhaps even a deep-rooted phobia of ballet dancers! There are no real definitive answers - it depends on you and your personal history, how you see things and so on. Only a smart psychologist would be able to help with more specific answers and probably only after getting to know you better.

I'm sorry to say Who is Freud? Anyway thanks a lot SpikeTheLobster. Maybe it was really fear for something I just cant figure it out. I just remember that nightmare now and still don't understand. Good thing I just suffer that for one year when I was 10. Thank you so much.

Freud? Sigmund Freud, the father of modern psychology? Austrian dude with the funny beard? Mentor/friend to Carl Jung (for a while) until their philosophies diverged, Adler, Kahane, Reitler and a bunch of others?

I am pretty sure that there's a hidden meaning to your dream. You better consult an expert in dream if this dream is bothering you.

It doesn't bother me anymore, I just remember it. Thanks anyway. God bless.

I used to have a dream where I would have to count as fast as possible or something bad would happen to me. I used to have it a lot but as I got older it went away. The thing is, I'm not a math person so counting always made me nervous in school. Once I figured out math I didn't have the dream anymore. I don't know what your dream means since I don't know you. Maybe you know about something or someone who is hurting somebody and you don't want to tell.

i have a funny experience regarding nightmare... up until recently (i'm 30 yo.) i've mostly have nightmare in my sleep and the nightmare were always the same theme weather i've been chase by a ghost or a monster or people try to kill me and suddenly my movement in my sleep become a slow motion while creture that after me still moving with a regular speed, but now it almost never happen again again. How did i do that? first of all, i want you to know that i'm not a scientist or something, i just carefully observe what i do before sleep, what i do after i'm awake and how do i sleep. In my personal experiment it turns out that if i sleep facing left (it means that my body is above my left arm) it makes my sleep very uncomfortable and cause the same nightmare theme, not only that it seem that sleeping like that is also cause my backbone bend slightly to the left, so now i start to sleep facing to right(other direction) to counter the effect that i have over the years, and as a result i never had any nightmare anymore... weird thing is that now i always have a nice dream. if i feel that my backbone is already line up correctly i've been planning on sleeping with straight position.
I don't know what the connection between a bent backbone with nightmare but i've try it my self and all the nightmare are gone.

Just when I was a kid I'd suffer for one repeatable nightmare. Backbone hurts so bad when it was bend for so long, It hurts to line it back, maybe that's the reason why you keep dreaming bad people trying to hurt you. Good thing you tried that, I will suggest that to anyone whose having a nightmare. Thank you sufer222.
