facebook overused or genuinely enjoyed?

So lately I have been looking at all the people on facebook playing games, chatting, mesaging, posting photos, tagging, buying things for their online games, messaging, or posting event notices. I dont mean to come across as pessimistic, but most of it seems like a waste of good time that could be used a little more productively. And who ever thought of giving money to facebook through games in which you cant be paid back? I spend maybe 15 minutes a day on facebook but for others out there I think there may need to be some monitoring of what is really required on there. Unless of course, people just enjoy being on facebook then thats cool. It can be a hobby I think but it can also be get in the way of things. I think talking on the phone needs to happen more, of course I rather enjoy the chatting part the most, and photos are great. Again, not meaning to come across as a pessimist.

I'm an active facebook user and I love to play Cityville. But, apparently, I become tired of playing and went to myLot instead. I don't buy any chips just to play. What I hate about this facebook thing is that some people used this as a haven of posting their miseries and insults to someone. Some of the people there even bluntly posted the enemy's name and valiantly announced to the whole world what she felt toward that enemy. I found that too immature. I mean, don't they know the real meaning of privacy? Some users take time to use facebook just to connect to far friends but some abused the freedom given by the administrators of facebook. I think, we should be responsible and cautious about the words and things we do even if it's on the internet. The bottom line? Be responsible.

I used to think Facebook is overrated. It seems as though everyone is so into it and I didn't get it at first, until I became a member about 2 years ago. It has helped me a lot in terms of reconnecting with people I've met through my lifetime. I found people I haven't heard from for more than a decade. I was able to find them and do some catching up and it's always nice to hear from friends and family. It's sooo hard to keep in touch with everyone with the busy life that everyone has. Facebook alleviates that problem and lets people reconnect. As for the games, I couldn't care less for those. I never liked online games anyway. So, I never use facebook for games, just for reconnecting with people.

Hi, This is the same business with me too. I had signed up for 'facebook' membership around one and half years back but I was not active there. Actually did not know what to do.It it is just fifteen days now that I have been regular there. What I like there is the instant response. This is up to the members, who can make it a enjoyable site or a so so one.

I seriously don't understand the people that spend their money to buy things to play that facebook online games. I know a lot of people that are addicted to those games, but I, honestly, don't see any fun. I don't have my facebook yet, because I know I would lose so much time on these. But, sometimes I join my sister's facebook and look for the updates of my friends, usually I spend more than 1 hour doing this. So, I prefer not make my facebook, because I already spent a lot of time on msn and skype.

I am a facebook member,i am active and i played games but i never spend money in buying all those chips in playing games.Sometimes this social media also is scary, because some criminals are also using this to find some victim, that's why this should always be monitored.

Facebook is a necessity these days. Every second person on earth must be having a facebook account! I've been active on facebook but these days i'm more busy in mylot. Facebook games are quite awesome. In one of the games, i'm in level 880s! But i don't pay facebook to buy stuff in the games. Its just there to while away my idle time.

i have 2 accounts on facebook, the other one i'm using for games. but i don't spend real money just to buy some game items. i used to play lots of facebook games but whenever i got tired of playing it, i'll play another one. then i stopped using facebook for months now, coz i just lost interest on their games. i just used my account occasionally for chatting and messaging friends whose only means of communication is thru facebook.

Hi Jaslupton, I would say its done either way. Its is overused, over addicted and at same time, its enjoyed with fun. Thats the reason it had more number of users and with ups and downs, it remains the top.

Well it really depends on the person. Some people like being able to have some social interaction while still being able to sit on their couch. And sometimes they don't have something better to do. So Facebook's a great way to waste time. Of course there is always something you could do to be more productive, but sometimes Facebook just offers a quick and easy break. It can be fun for some people to be social once in a while. Especially for those people who are not usually social on a regular basis. They get to be social online and still feel like they're interacting with the world. I've seen some people that have become addicted to Facebook, and I don't know why. I really can't spend too much time on Facebook myself. I really don't get consumed in the status updates and the countless photos. But I do agree that it is a good way to waste time or take a break when you need to.

I also spend about 15 minutes a day on Facebook and it's more than enough for me because I prefer other online activities, such as Mylot, which are also entertaining, but also bring me an income, unlike Facebook.I don't understand why so many people spend long hours on Facebook,I guess they became addicted to it in time, but if they want to spend so much time chatting or playing online games,it's their problem and it's fine as long as they don't forget that they also have a real life which have to enjoy as well.
