Strategic clothes/make up shopping

I have to admit, I'm not very good at shopping tactically - I'll often go into a shop and buy a top or eyeshadow that grabs my attention, and yet take home and never wear because I don't know how to co-ordinate things. So my question is, do you think about the clothes/make up you will buy in advance? Do you look at outfits/make up looks in magazines/films/etc and use those as inspiration when you shop? Or do you buy things that grab your attention and find it easy to throw things together? Or are any of you like me, and have make up and clothes that never get worn because you don't know what to put them with? And if you are, how on earth do you deal with that?!

no, I don't think in advance what I will gonna buy when I go shopping nor look in magazines. I like going around and check every thing and see if I gonna like it. Actually I am not only looking at the style but the price,hehehe.

Haha I know that feeling, my shopping trips are always focused on price :( I like looking in magazines, and I'll find looks that I like, but am never brave enough to wear. My style tends to be a boring "jeans and t shirt" rut. What's your style like?

well sometimes I am also trying fashion styles but most of the time I also tend to wear just jeans and shirt,,hehehe..you know that is the most comfortable way.
