Are you a former Amazon Associate?

I am a former Amazon Associate. And not by choice either. I was one of the Amazon Associates who were cut loose when Colorado passed a law saying that sales tax had to be collected on online sales that originated inside the state of Colorado. And I know that I am not alone at being kicked out because of tax laws---Associates in California were just kicked out of the program the other day by Amazon. My problem is that defaulting to the Barnes and Nobles Affliate program has not been as profitable for me. A lot of the books that I used to be able to hawk on my blogs are not actually available though Barnes and Noble---go figure. So have you ever been an Amazon Associate? And if you left the program, was it willingly? And what have you done to attempt to make up the difference?

I am from India and have little to do with the Amazon Associates. Although, I got an opportunity to sign up for the product/affiliated program, I make use of it a little. Well, though I have nothing to contribute to your doubts, I could learn something which I was not aware about. What I know is that, affiliate programs need extensive marketing for success. I am not a good affiliate.
