So, I'm still new and am still working on my first payout, but I was curious about something. When you've posted a lot, do you get paid more for each discussion you oat on? Or is it constant no matter how much your posted?

I am relatively new to mylot but learning. My earnings were very low in the beginning but I have been posting more and my earnings have increased with the number of postings. As one mylotter puts it, you type, you get paid. I type, I get paid. However, I believe that if you begin a discussion and no one responds, you get no earnings. I have also learned that it is important to comment on responses you get to your discussions. Mylot pays on some sort of formula or algorithm and how it is figured is secretive. Participation is very important. The more that you participate, the higher your earnings. But do not discuss the exact amount that you earn. Your discussion will get deleted and / or you could also get booted from mylot.

I think that bostonphil intended that the more you are active, rather than the more you post. You can have a 10 star but you will not earn if you just watch others posting.

Participation = activity = earnings. Those with a higher star are rewarded more for their participation than those with a lower one. Please have no doubts about this as both points are confirmed by myLot in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx#1

I am not certain that anyone knows exactly how earnings are calculated but it must be a combination of number of postings and your ratings. I have heard a lot of different things. I do not know how many times I have read that participation is the most important factor. And others have said ratings is also important. But over and over again, I hear participation which can include a lot of different things.

You want to make sure that you post quality things. However, if you post a lot of quality things then you will get paid more. Mylot really doesnt disclose its pay system but many members think its around a cent per post. I usually make my posts at least four sentances long. I dont know if this really helps but It makes me feel better lol.

Well, I'm sure that def helps! Because the longer it is, then usuay the more in depth you go with your answers. I will def keep that in mind when I answer discussions from now on! Thank you very much! =)

hi Brannray. Your earning depend on what quality you produce. So start quality discussion, post quality comments. Avoid meaningless discussion or comments. And do not forget re response on your discussion it will increase your earning chance. If response or start any discusion please provide like related to that discussion. well i think the earnings are directly proportional to the number of posts...the more you post the more you earn.. but only meaningful and quality posts are considered for the payments...so keep in mind your posts are long enough and are meaningful..i dont know if earnings are related to user ratings in any way or not...
