Can the mass media help developing of clinical vampirism

Vampires are very popular characters in the books, movies, tv shows and ect. But do they affect the mental disorder known as clinical vampirism. Psychoanalysis consider the reason for this illness to be in early childhood. But can the popular culture help the proces of emerging of the disorder

i have no idea that there is a clinical vampirism until today!!! any how the mass media has the highest possibilities that can help in developing a clinical vampirism for some of them do not choose what to exposed for as long as they can give the people an interesting coverage and to have a higher rating...

Yes there is clinical vampirism you can meet it also as a renfield's syndrome. It is rare, but it still exists. You can meet some cases in the criminal records among the serial killers. It is not listed in the DSM4 as a separate disorder, but maybe it will be in DSM5
