Sin or Not Sin

Telling lies is a big sin which we often supposed to do that in our regular life.. Situation makes us to act like that.. Giving wrong informations is called as Lie.. Do you think Hiding the truth is also considered as Lie???? Hiding the truth is not like a giving wrong informations..
Telling lie is 100 % Sin according to the Hindu Mythology... Is Hiding the truth also Sin?????? What do you think about this???

It depend son the situation, if you tell someone a lie you are not telling the truth. If you just hold back some information then you should be fine. At times it is best people don't know everything going on.
If hiding the truth will result in more good coming about I think it is alright but are you able to be the judge of that?
