Important observation about mylot

When our posts are deleted we do not earn for them, just like we would not get paid for a bad job offline. If the earnings have already been added to our account, they are later deducted. I particpate on older discussions daily too but I have no reason to think that earnings are any different from those for particpating in more recent topics.

I am guessing that when you are talking about "points" you are speaking of your user rating, which is the number in parenthesis next to your user name. If we lose responses on another person's discussion or comments within the response box of a discussion started by someone else or a discussion that we start is deleted, then we will lose the user rating associated with the deletion. However, if you comment in multiple response boxes on a discussion started by someone else, then your user rating will not decrease if only one of these comments is removed but others still remain.

hello dear, I am not looking how my earning goes,but it also made me sad when the topic I responded is deleted. Or my topic is deleted... Let's just enjoy and make up for our loses then. Just keep commenting and try to avoid topic/s that you feel might violate the rules. have a good day always

Hi Surekha! This is just from my point of view. Old or recent discussions have nothing to do with decrease or increase our earning. You may answer and give your comments in both old and new discussion. The only thing that I don't like about new discussion is we have no idea whether the discussion will get deleted by the admin or not. Sometimes I will wait and save them before posting any comment to it just in case if it get deleted on the nest few days. But I will miss some good discussion and miss to join other great conversation. unlike the old one where you can comment as many as you like because there is guarantees that the discussion will not get deleted. But still depends on your comments. If you are just commenting without relate it to the topic then it is useless too~ So it depends. One more thing I don't count specifically how much should I earn in one day. As long as it keep increasing then it is fine to me. I don't even know how mylot pay us for one single comment and I don't think we should seriously know the exact value. I think it varies~ (^^)

Hi surekha Yes as the many confirmed above anytime any of our participation is deleted the earnings is deducted. The only way around this if you are concerned with earnings is to learn the guideline thoroughly so that you do not enter discussions with any type of violations. The deletions have nothing to do with if the discussion is old or new it is strictly about whether it is a violation or not. See Admins here are humans who have to review each and every individual discussion/response/comment, therefore, they cannot be expected to be in all four corners of the Lot for every second of the day. Therefore, it is possible that the violations can be around for a while and later to find that Admin finally found it and or someone reported and Admin reviewed and found it to be a violation. No worried Surekha, we can't worry about earnings until the day they make it to PayPal. I do not consider any gains or loss until the earnings are actually in my PayPal. I can count on anything until it is actually there. The more information we all provide you will soon allow you to become more acquainted with the guidelines. I and many others have them memorized.

In case discussion started by us is deleted automatically the cents we would have earned along with that will also be deducted--for example on 1st july u started a topic and possibly u earned 14 cents (basis nobody can tell) on account of that then if that discussion is deleted 14cents will come down from ur earnings also.--Not only for you but for all those people who commented and on account of whatever earnings they got also will be deleted. Do not worry. just be participating. u will earn. incidentally yesterday i got my first earning from mylot. Though I became a member in January itself I started participating only from May 12th. I hope to be active till october 2nd or 3rd the date I will be leaving for chennai. good day.[[/em]

These observations are just coincedences. I don't think posting on older discussions will "maximize" your earnings, and if your answer has been deleted, your earnings might have been dropped because you were awarded the money before. I have tried before to concentrate on my earnings, but I believe that myLot is not a money making site. MyLot is social networking site and most of the members are just motivated to stay here because money is given to people who socialize.

I don't know much about this pattern on mylot though. But what I notice is that sometimes my earning is increased a few cents on next day morning, probably they gave me extra points for what I did last night. Usually they updated my earning not until next day morning 12:00 P.M. or something like that, but they will updated it a few cents before that too. I just don't know why.

Suppose we will give ten rupees to a child and tell to him that you have to buy ten pencils each one Rs.1/-, if he will buy 9only. Then we ask for another one, he said, nine only there in the shop. Then we ask him for another one rupee. This is also like that only. If our work fails, then they will took back their cents. So we have to do correct discussion.

I also have some older posts that i have responded too. I have already responded, only to see later that it was posted many months ago. But i didn't notice them to be deleted. Also when the discussion i responded to, gets deleted, i just don't mind it, because they are a few cents compared to my entire earnings here. I just enjoy responding . Makes my mind work at its best.

hi surekharati, To be honest I don't spend much time looking at my earnings I will just look at it if it was increase nothing else I don't even check my earning list I just want have fun here happy mylotting

I never observe the difference if I response new discussion or the old one.Sometime I got notification from mylot that my response is deleted because the question is deleted, but I didn't watch out that my earning is decrease.Is it possible our earning decrease if our response deleted??Well, I dont think so because so far I don't get my earning decrease.

Hello Surekhaji, This is obvious when a discussion is deleted as it has violated guidelines and your response is deleted then your ratings gets reduced because your response is deleted also your earning from that response is deducted if added in your earnings.

Do not waste much time to think on this issue because administrative system is not revealed to any mylotter.

Well it is true that your number in () will decrease everytime that they remove a discussion either you have started or responded back too, and many times your earnings might decrease, but that is part of the game. There is no way even in responding back to older discussions that they will continue to stay here, but for me it really does not matter.

hi surekharathi that was just coincidence.t he only thing I have seen where my own earnings are greater is when I comment back on all the responses I have gotten on my own discussions. this may be because I tend to try to write quality comments that show the responders that I really appreciated their response so I write more than I might on responses to others discussions. we do not earn anything if we have responses deleted or discussions deleted.

If the discussion that we make, or our response is removed, of course, earnings, and the point we would be reduced. If we respond to a old discussion, the income we earn, as we respond to new discussions. This is what I know.

I think if you are already paid for the post which gets deleted only then your earning will reduce. That post will be deleted so the points/credit for that post will be deleted. I never observed the earnings so closely but I think this is how it work. Anyway Happy Mylotting.

Honestly I don't keep that close of a check on mine. I just get excited when I see that it has increased! Lol... I just have fun on here responding to discussions and creating discussions to reply to getting paid for it! =)

No it is not like that.commenting on old or new discussions will make no difference.You will be paid according to the quality of your response and i think the quality of response is decided by positive rating button.If people like your response people will rate it and you will be paid accordingly. Today i observed my earning after reading your discussion.And i found that my 2 july earning is increased by a cent.but i didnot comment on any 2 july discussion today.This means commenting on old discussion doesnot increase your income. But still i said my earning on that day increased.ANd the answer to this is that,i think the response i made on 2 july for which i was already paid recieved a positive rating by some mylotters through which the quality of my response increased.and since i was paid already for that day they increased my income of that day because of the higher rating the response recieved. Finally i can say that my income of that day increased because the response eas of that day.
