I am wondering if you would share your experiences with e-readers. What kind go you have/use? I have beef using an IPod boroughed from the library but was thinking of getting my own. But what to buy? Please share.

I have a Pandigital e-reader and I love it. You can convert it to an Android tablet, so it goes beyond being a basic e-reader. I never thought I would want an e-reader, but I really enjoy mine now that I have one. Mine is in color and has is a 7 inch touchscreen.

Oh I didn't know they come in color? Was it expensive? Where did you get it?

Yep, Barnes and Noble Nooks come in color and the Pandigitals come in color. I'm sure other brands do to, but I'm not as familiar with them. Like I said, I love my Pandigital because I was able to convert it to a tablet. The color e-readers are usually more expensive, but I was lucky and got mine on sale. It was normally $189 I think, but I got it for $140. I got it at RadioShack but I'm pretty sure they have them at Best Buy also.

Ya, but I want my own. It's cool to use but it's only for a limited time.

My partner has a kobo and he has used it all the time since he got it. My brother has a kindle and got a 2nd one when his first one was stolen, so he must be happy with the kindle. Both of these e-readers have e-ink screens, without a back light. This is an important thing to think of when getting an e-reader. Would you really want to be staring at a computer type screen all the time when you read? That is probably why a lot of people still use books. But the e-ink screens are much more pleasant to use for reading. You can get e-book lights so you can still read you e-book in the dark. The main problem with the kindle (from Amazon.com) is it uses it's own special format .mobi, whereas the kobo uses .epub and pdf. .epub is the standard format of e-reading technologies. You can get programs to convert the file formats of the books but some ebooks you get from Amazon may not convert as they have a type of lock on them.

Wow that's awesome we can not borrow them here. I have an iPod and a iPad. I think it is cool to use the iPad but the iPod is too small for my eyes. But in all of them I would rather do the traditional book. That away I do not get sidetracked when family try's to contact me.
