Sharon Remembers

Today's episode of Y&R seems to be a show that we would see if a character was leaving the show, so I wonder if anyone has heard that Sharon is leaving the show? I have not heard that but as the show is her remembering her life and all the things that have happened with her, I just wonder?
I hope that she is thinking about going back to Genoa City and try to straighten her life out.

I read an interview with the head writer, and they said they don't like doing clip shows, but they would do this one because it was a holiday and most people miss their soaps on holidays. Still, they also wanted to remind the audience of what Sharon had been through. Because apparently most viewers are disgusted with her, and this is an effort to start to redeem her. But the character of Sharon is not leaving the show.

That does make sense. I think that Sharon's character needs to be redeemed from the writing that has been done and I think that damage control is certainly necessary to help others to see that her issues are with the writing.

I like the fact that she is standing on her own some, although she is now involved with Sam. I believe that she is feeling guilty for what is happening and that she is sorry that he is falling for her and that she knows that it won't last. I believe that she is scared of loving anyone else.

Well since the person above me said she did not think Sharon is leaving the show.
I have to watch todays show.
I figured it would not have been on so guess I will crank up ABC.com and watch it.
I was all set to watch Bachelorette and and its showing last weeks so I guess nothing new is on today.
My mind focuses on Phyllis and what mixed emotions she is having since taking on Lucy.
Phyllis is definately not a loner.

Y&R is on CBS here. I do not like Phyllis and I think that she screwed up the life that Lucy could have had with Billy and Victoria.

They have done sort of similar shows where they concentrated on one character, the on Michael, the one on Billy, etc. So it something they do on holidays sometimes. She did make it a little one sided in that she left out a lot of the bad things she had done like sleeping with Victoria's stable hand boyfriend, sleeping with Brad right after he had married Victoria, running off to Chicago(might have been Denver) and picking up the guy in bar and sleeping with him and then having him beat her and follow her back to GC and stalk her and all the problems that caused, etc. She painted herself as being the victim most of the time when she brought a lot of stuff on herself.

I don't remember Sharon and Brad together or Victoria ever having a stable hand boyfriend. I didn't know she ever met a guy in a bar either. When was this? I think that the main point was to show the highlights of her life.

The things I mentioned were pretty big things. The guy in the bar came to GC following her and caused all kinds of trouble and finally Nick had to rescue her when they had to bail out of an airplane. Brad and Victoria had only been married for something like only a couple of days when Sharon slept with Brad on a trip to NYC. Also, Victoria almost caught(may have, I don't remember for sure) them in a car in the Newmann building parking garage.

These are probably things that happened when I was working and didn't get to see it daily. I know that were several years that I missed it most of the time.

I think they did a show on Sharon because most people do not like her and with yesterday being a holiday many people did not watch. I only watched because my husband worked yesterday morning and my cat Smyles hates to miss the show. I hope she comes back go GC and straightens things out with Noah and Faith. I hope she dumps Adam. Sharon needs to make up for lost time with her kids and Nick.

I agree with you on that. I like her and Nick together but I would also like to see her stand on her own two feet for awhile without any man. Her kids deserve to know her and the person she can be.

As far as I know she is staying. I liked the episode some of the stuff happened before I watched or when I was working. So it was fun for me to watch it.

I like the way that they have portrayed her as Sheri. I think that she has been given a chance to show more of a caring and wholesome attitude. I also think that she does not want to hurt Sam and Piper. I would have liked to have seen how things turned out between her and Sam but looks as though she is headed back to Genoa City next week.

I liked it too. At first she was not my favorite character, but ever since she changed her name to Sheri I do like her. I think she is enjoying her freedom and is starting to like Sam, but she is not getting to close which is good because she needs to learn how to stand on her own two feet.
