With the Information Technology (IT)rapid advancement, it has change the evolution of education as well. We used to go and attend classes inside the classroom, from kindergarten up to the graduate school, this method as we know is the traditional way of education in learning, getting knowledge, and getting a degree. Today, our kids can learn many things way ahead of kindergarten, from (e.g. toys, TV programs, DVDs, internet-websites), these also applies to adult learning in which we know nowadays is Non Traditional Education. The population is growing 7% annually and we can see the University campuses worldwide are getting fewer number of students enrolled each semester and we are seeing more On-line (Non Traditional) courses and degrees offered. With the present situation we are facing in educational competitiveness how can we can make a sound decision of selecting quality education in either traditional or non traditional. I, for one have seen more people having degrees from non traditional higher educational institutions being more knowledgeable and successful in there field of studies applied in the workplace. People has accepted workforce having a degree from a non traditional degree school, however, there are people who are against the non traditional method and to some extent they call it a degree from a diploma mill. What can you say about the issue?

dear friend, there is no issue in this everything meant to change. if the change is good then we all should grab the change. but the thing here is the thing you called non traditional education (modern education) system is much more attractive and effective so we all should move on to that. As usual as other cases there are people against for this system functioning for their own benefits.

The keyword (Modern Education) gets you the number 1. Plus the fact that "there are people against for the system functioning for their own benefits" The simple explanation on this is that there are people who has received there degree in an Ivy segue university and spend more money and have a wonderful framed diploma, now the question is, most of these people could not even talk intelligently or are not articulate at all, which makes you wonder how he/she gets the degree - these are the very people who are against for the system functioning.

as I think, anyone can get a degree if he is committed to it. all the others comes with the attitudes.

Education is indeed the key for a better future. Nowadays, you can have a non-traditional education and it is very easy to have this. It is really good? Well the answer is dependent on who the learner is. If you think that you are better if you will just study by yourself and not attending the traditional classroom setting, then I think there would be no problem about it. I think it's all up to the learner what he will choose. But in my opinion, it is always good to go to school just like what we all have been used to long time before. By attending a traditional education, I think you will learn more because it will be a classroom effort of learning so you will not just learn from your teachers or professor but also from your classmates.

According to me,the learning depends upon the learners interest and how keen they are intertested to gain knowledge in there subject.Being in classes you can being proper student so that you can share your doubts with your staffs students. So traditional education is best and most o the people prefer to join there children in that line only.Students can get theoritical as well as practical knowledge from the schools or colleges.Parents muct take care of their children, because they are the moral support for childrens life to shine.

i agree with the traditional way of teaching as i was able to experience it myself. but it's not bad too, to learn the non-traditional way. i have also subscribed on online short courses, and it's not bad too. with our technology now, i believe that we also have to accept changes specifically in way of teaching. kids now are smarter and they'll be left behind if they'll just stick to traditional education. well, its much better if they can combine traditional and non traditional education.

You are absolutely right :), way all things are changing today non traditional method of teaching is becoming more and more popular amongst the student while going for higher education as colleges and university are having limited seats.while degree most important thing in todays world for getting a job.In India even today many people who are middle class prefers traditional method of education while other non traditional. But non traditional student requires lot of self discipline and study while in traditional we have teacher to watch that makes a difference which is counted at last....I would prefer traditional teaching

You just said it, "non-traditional student requires a lot of self disciplines and study while in traditional we have teacher to watch that makes a difference which is counted at last". Learning is based on the real actual knowledge gain not by watching which can sometimes influence human instinct of pity, does a mistake can be counted correct.

With the proliferation of scams in the cyber world, it is not unusual to find entities offering non traditional courses online. These entities may be legitimate but the courses offer are now complete and lacks in some degree with hand-on knowledge. Most are based on tutorial which does not cover the entire scope of the course. The good news about these traditional online courses is that it is now offered by the traditional colleges and universities that have names to protect thus ensuring complete learning and degree and diploma are well-guaranteed.If one has to enroll in any non traditional online course, one must see to it that they enroll to those reputable existing colleges and universities.

Education is very much important for all the students. The most basi for all the childrens to learn starts from kindergarten to graduate levels ,where they can ne well known and familiar with all the basics like science, mathematics, social science and etc.And that too now a days the technology is so much improved that, even for kindergarten kids can listern there basics ie,.alphabets, numerals, rhymes etc from there DVD players.CD etc. These may be non-traditional educations, but the technology is so fast that no one can stop these.
When we talk about the colleges, ther are many groups and courses offered. We cant tell that the person who speaks english is knowledgeable and brilliant. Many are even phd just casually,we cant tell taht they do with their own knowledge. Some may be not aware of basi things.Very few work hard for there studies.According to be let it be any Non-traditional or traditional, every thing depends upon there knowledge
