some of you might remember my experience with this old man asking for some water and i wasnt able give him some due to my own reasons. but earlier, while i was going to my sister's school to give her lunch i passed by this beggar. since i have coke, burger and fries in my bag (actually it's my sister's lunch, haha) i decided to gave the fries to the beggar. it felt so great, and inspires me more to strive harder in life so that could reach my dreams of having a great business and at the same time, a foundation for the poor. :)

Good on you, that was indeed a very noble and thoughtful thing to do! I too have had my share of helping the less needy before, but I think there is still room for improvement for me as well........ The world would be so much more a better place if only the well-to-do people (that's us ) all chip in to help the needy and the less fortunate.....

It is good of you to do that. Your parents are mighty proud of racing a daughter who understands other people's needs. I do admit that it makes me feel better If I give food to beggars since sometimes the syndicate who handles some of them gets the money from them or they use the money for vices. I am with you regarding teaching livelihood to the poor instead of continuously giving them money. As a Confucius proverb says " You must teach man how to fish".

Hello tammy27, it really is nice for you to help the needy. There are really many beggars that we all need to help in our own way. If we don't have the financial freedom to help them, we can endorse them to social workers / government agencies that could tend to their needs.
I will pray the you would have much of money soon so that you could still help many beggars.
As for me, If I where also given a chance to have a capacity to help the needy, i will not hesitate to do so. God bless you more and keep doing the good deed that you do.

A foundation for the poor would be wonderful. It does feel so very good to do something for the less fortunate. And I bet those fries made that beggers day. Fates deals its hand and I bet you will one day have your foundation. I do remember you experience with the old man asking for water.

I think you are doing the very best thing that you could in order to help that beggar. At least, you are giving him something that worth for him. I remembered that i ever gave a beggar a packet of drink that was just bought, when i was in a rush. Because i don't have much cash in hand at that time, so i thought giving him a drink is the next best option. It is good that you plan to make a foundation to help the poor, when you have a great business in future. Wish you success...

That's a nice gesture . Although, you gave some of you sister's lunch.
I think that compensated for not giving water to the beggar on you earlier discussion.
Keep it up and i hope you will realize your dreams someday soon.
