woman left her dogs in the car for 2 hours. She was shopping in a store. Personally, at this point I think people should know better anyway. Here is my question. She told police she was using a remote starter for her car every 20 minute to cool things down.
Don't those remote starters have a maximum/minimum distance where they won't function? I wonder what kind of punishment she will receive Poor dogs.

I'm not sure how the remote starters work on vehicles. It looks to me like she would have to be within a certain distance also for it to work. Maybe she thought it was working. She should not have done it to begin with though. Two hours is a very long time for anyone or anything. Who knows what kind of punishment she will get. The laws are so corrupt these days.

Poor dogs. I'm glad it happened to her dogs and not to her children. May it be a lesson for her to do better with her actions next time.

That's really sad.
She could have lowered the window a bit just enough to give the dogs some ventilation.
Who will dare to go and stole something when there are dogs inside her car.
Poor thing...i guess she deserves to be fine for being careless.
Should also check the device if it working properly or not,and the company i guess also needs to be held responsible.

She'll probably get a reduced sentence for speaking at a pet's rights awareness function and then go back to the NFL as a starting QB.
I like what the previous responder said about locking her in a car for a while. Given her relative size difference she would get left in longer naturally, but we'd let someone getting their hair done in the next town try to use the car starter every twenty minutes.
Some people suck and when caught they have no concept of responsibility!

That's awful :( She should have left her windows open, and she shouldn't have been gone for 2 hours!
I mean, if it was urgent shopping, she would have been in a hurry, and if not, why couldn't it wait until she took the dogs home?!
