are you embarrassed to be caught shopping in the lingerie department?

If you are embarrassed, why? If not, why not? I used to be embarrassed to look at the lingerie and would never think to ask the sales person a question or if they had it in my size. Now that I have been married for several years, it does not bother me. it did kind of creep me out the one time i was specifically shopping for a teddy and my mother in law gave me her opinion.

Shopping for lingerie is a normal thing to do. Lingerie forms part of our needs also. I love shopping for lingerie. I like buying them in new styles and colors!

I love the different bright colors that are out now. Can't wait until I get paid again to go shopping.

No, not really. Why should I? It is normal to shop for lingerie and I love to shop lingerie at all times. Just enjoy it and you'll see you'll not be bothered anymore.

I enjoy it now. I have grown up and gotten over my body image hang ups. I do not have much money in the budget for it right now, but I have a wish list for my first real paycheck come September when I start my new job.

Making sure I was getting everything about the purchase right for My Lady, the size, the style, the colour, designer, etc, would be a bigger concern for Me than the unlikely off chance that someone in there might recognise Me! And there's always Victoria's Secret...

sounds like that tactic would either get you slapped,or a date!

My husband would not know where to start. He would be like "well, shes is bigger than that person, smaller than that person and about (holding out hands) about this big in the chest." I would end up with something that did not come close to fitting.

No I am not embarrassed to shope for lingerie, I actually enjoy it. lol I do like fancy and pretty styles and see no reason for me to be embarrassed. Maybe when I was younger I think I could have been. But in all honesty the employees in some stores are quite helpful and can suggest some nice fitting styles.

There is still a place for hanes cotton briefs in my drawer, but more of my drawer is lacy or silky now. My husband appreciates the different styles but I do not think he knows how expensive some of those are.

For me, it depends upon who surrounds the lingerie area. If it's all females, I don't bother shopping for it. But if there are guys, I feel quiet ashamed. I usually stop looking at lingerie if there are guys. I feel embarrassed. They might think of something about my choice of lingerie and I'm bothered with that.

I too find it kind of intimidating to have men in the lingerie department. I know that most are just there because the significant other is dragging them there, but I dont want to be judged in any way.

no. I'm not embarassed. most women wear pants and bras, and I'm not embarassed for someone to see that I am buying pants and bras. why would it be embarassing? is it embarassing that they know you wear pants and bras? just like everyone else?

Yes, sometimes I am embarrassed to be caught picking undies in the department store so I will just have to wait for people to leave the area before I pick one and bring to the counter ehehehe! I don't know why it feels that way where in fact it is just normal to shop for lingerie but it feels like I am totally exposed if I pick undies and be seen by other people especially by, uhmmm, men..hahaha!

I do admit that i get a bit self conscious if i see men when i am picking out my undergarments. Luckily, it is more rare for a man to be in the specialty shop than in the regular department store.

it isnt so much the staff that embarrassed me when i was younger, it was other customers. I felt like they were judging....I am older now, it doesn't bug me.

I am a woman so there's nothing to be embarrassed off. This made me remember my husband whom I ask to buy me sanitary napkin when I gave birth to my first born. I was still at the hospital then and I run out of napkin so I ask him to go to the nearest supermarket to get me a big pack. At first he doesn't want to do it and told me to wait for my sister and ask her to buy. But I insisted, so he have to do it. He said that he was so ashamed at that time.

My husband has bought that type of stuff for me before, but I try to keep stocked up. It is definitely not his favorite task. I have seen some guys in that section of wal mart or target or whatever and they never look up from the floor.

I do not go to those specilised shop much. If I remember correctly I have gone only twice. To me they look expensive so I prefer to go to a departmental store to look at the price to see if I can afford it and most importantly, there will be no obligation to buy. The only thing I hate about shopping at the big departmental stores is that most times i see men who are accompanying their wives or girlfriends loitering about there too. i am not saying that they might find me attractive or anything like that since I have been putting on quite a lot of weight. Its just that they instantly make me feel so very self conscious about my body. Considering that my own naughty husband always comments about other women, it makes me wonder if most men do that too. In terms of whether I feel comfortable to shop (if there are no men about), yes I like the ones which are lacy and I wouldnt bring anyone who would give negative comments.

I do go and get fitted at the specialty shops and if they have a really good sale I may buy something, but then i use the information I learn and try and find a better deal at the department stores.

I don't feel embarrassed at all. I think is totally normal to buy lingerie and every woman have to do that sometimes, right? But I do feel embarassed if I'm going to buy some sexy lingerie. If that's the case, I be totally embarassed and I always try to buy in a way that no one notice me.
