is there a way we can convert a 110 or 120-volt gadget to 12 volts?

Im thinking that maybe converting gadgets like electric fan, tv, cassette, laptop power consumption to 12 volts to help lessen our electric bills. do you any suggestions or ideas on how to do it? can you help me?

i'm not an electrician but volts is not related to your electric bills, so weather you got 12 volts or 220 volts you still have the same bills because electric bills using kWh kilo watt hour... so if you change the input from 220 to 12 volt the gadget still use the same wattage, it's current will adjust to higher value so the wattage will still e the same and because of that your bill will be the same...
