last night, it rained so heavily and lasted for for a long time, when I got up in the morning, it was still raining,I was so surprised, all the roads were flooded. I can only wear slipper to walk, when I step into the water, the water can nearly touch my knee, I have to walk very slowly, step by step, I could go to work by bike,so I have to wait for the bus, but there were so many people waiting at the bus stop,20 minutes past, the bus still did not come, so I decided to walk to another bus stop to take another bus, when I get to another bus stop, the bus just went away, to save time, I took a taxi, but I was still late. have you ever experienced this heavy rain? is the rain too heavy or our drainage too bad?

Yeah it has been raining very heavily these past days, river levels rising too. Some days, all of a suddenly, tornados come too, blasting away residential areas some times. Tornados are really very dangerous, very devastating. There have been a number of disasters this year.

This is the big problem in almost places here in metro. Floods due to clogged drainage and the government didn't checked or did remedies before these rainy season come. Here in our place it seldom get flood, unless the heavy rain lasts for days. But then, the nearby places get flooded easily, and no way that we can go to work since there is no public vehicle that passes by,all were stranded somewhere

God, and I thought that such a painful experience can happen in our India only!!! You know, it's for these precise reasons that I HATE monsoons most of all. At least in China, you will still find the water which has flooded the streets to be just plain rainwater only. Here, in many places, dirty sewage water will get mixed up with it, and the whole place would reek and stench like anything!!! The roads are also potholed here and as the murky water will prevent you from actually seeing the road you're walking on, each next step you take has to be taken immensely carefully as it may well be your last!!! The vehicles ply through the inundated roads creating giant waves which, if you are not careful enough, will soak you through and through. Even where the roads are not in such a pitiable state, it will be muddy and slippery and walking is a nightmare. I really don't understand how the poets can find so much to romanticize about the rains. It's by far the most unromantic season which one can experience.

I've been through heavy rain before. I couldn't get home because the flood was about a hip deep. There were some who walked it home. I'm guessing they had their homes near but I had to ride a jeep so I waited for about 1 and a half hour until the flood subsides.
