I think he is like one of the best hearted carachters, but would like to know if someone believes he could be capable of trying the power of the One Ring.
I think this carachter is so amazing, like the best carachter I ever saw in movies. I think movies should teach us more about morals and the heart and Legolas' loyalty is actually a good example of how someone can be that powerful for being a prince, but humble and a servent when he's needed to be.

I think he would have been tempted, at least. In the original story, he is a Wood-Elf, not a High-Elf, although that might actually help him resist, since he is even more tied to nature and the natural world than the High Elves were. But it's an excellent question!
I, too, am a Legolas fan--he has been my favorite character since I was 13--LONG before the movies ever came out.
I wonder if his character will be included in The Hobbit movie. He isn't in the book, but his father is. Since Peter Jackson is splitting The Hobbit movie into two parts, maybe )hopefully) they will include him to give more depth to the movie?

You really know your stuff, I'm sad I didn't realize this discussion had some answer before cause I looooooove Legolas, then it comes Haldir.
I see so he's mot a high elf, I don't know where you learned that, I didn't get there yet, I'm reading the Two Towers and Children of Húrin but I'm sure that The Silmarillion makes one really wise in Tolkien matters. I begun that too but it's PRECIOUS to me...lol, I'll take my time.
I'm so sad Peter Jackson messed one part of the movie that I hated: if he did put Haldir there, why to kill him? Okay not one but 3: why he took Glorfindel and the twins from us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes dear, I really love them and I enjoy new adventures reading the twin's fanfictions, so sad, they were so amazing. They were at the black gate supporting their brother, even though Estel is a foster brother. They took him the sword...they were important and just became dust in the movies, I was checking the fandom in tumblr, there are fans that find it unforgivable.

Hi Katie,
When you read the Hobbit, you learn about Thranduil, King of the Wood Elves in Mirkwood that capture Bilbo & the Dwarves. And in LOTR, Legolas is introduced as "son of Thranduil. . .". After you see that you will see other references to Legolas and Mirkwood, etc.
I agree--PJ should never have killed off the twins--pointless.

Heeeyyy, so nice to see another Leggy fan around here.
Yes he is! I think he wouldn't but them, when you watch again the Fellowship of the Ring, check it out his handsome face checking out the Ring as soon as it is put on the round table, he seems tempted, Gimli too... That made me wonder, what if??

HI katie: I think that he will, no matter how noble he is. He'd feel the temptation and this will destroy all the good, pure side of him. Maybe in the end he'll be strong enough to resist and not doing it but the strenght of the ring at least would temptated him.

Hey dear, has been a long time.
Intersting, the face he makes at the Concil of Elrond's in the begining made me wonder. Lotr is such a fascinating movie to me that I would love they film it again with alternative universes, like now Leggy carries the ring and all.
