I Would Like Some Opinions Before I Take The Plunge

Over the years I have seen some beautiful website designs and photography images that really just make me want to try it out for myself. Most of the people when asked how they do it mention photoshop. I want to try it so badly, but I looked up photoshop and it is a little more than I want to pay. Photoshop elements seems much more in my price range, but I'm curious about how close to regular Photoshop it is and what the ease of use it like. I'm also wondering if this is a tool that you really need to be artistically inclined to get good results with or can the slightly artistically challenged come up with beautiful things with it too?

Photoshop is fun to be played. You can edit anything you like to. There are sometimes that we do not know how to put the effect I want. So I searched over the tutorials from the websites and learn it. It might be difficult to used a first but once you had familiar with it, everything will be easier. Just need to practice more.

Thank you, that is very helpful to know. I have been using the paint program that comes on my computer and even though I have learned to use it very well... it is still a mediocre program and I'd like to do some more advanced stuff.

I got your point since I have several sites too. Personally, I never used photoshops in all my blogs except for creating banners, I only searched for free templates in the net then changed/add some widgets.

I do that search for free templates thing too. My blog actually looks pretty cute right now. I just wish that I could layer stuff for my blog art and not have to worry about color matching the backgrounds in paint.

It is purely amazing, yes, it is! I am just learning about it and enjoying it...though it is quite hard to learn alone but it is challenging.

Yes , Photoshop is the software , it is expensive but then if you're good you can earn a lot money by design and photography. You can also download a pirat copy - it is illegay , but if you are not a company - than there is nothing to worry abouth. If you want to try similary to PS software , but free - check out Gimp , easy to use but not as good and advanced as PS. Cheers

I don't use pirated software. The closest thing I do to that is if my brother has something I want I'll have him rip it onto my computer. But, since he is my brother I kind of feel that is in the realm of family use and I doubt too many companies would get mad at someone sharing something they purchased with a family member. I'll check out that Gimp. I don't know if I'm good enough to make money from the Photoshop stuff so I'll give Gimp a try first.

I could link to a fully working Photoshop CS5 Program however it's pirated and it's probably against the site rules to post links to pirated software so i won't I suggest trying other free photo editing programs such as GIMP
