Some religious people or institutions have been accused of having requested for and received money from the charity sweepstakes. I like to believe these same religious institutions/people would have considered gambling as immoral, and isn't this gambling money? Then, how about the fact that the same poor people, the majority of which buy the lotto tickets in hopes of winning, are the ones who should benefit from this. Does this somehow validate the saying "the end justifies the means"?
