Nokia phones are pretty smart when it comes to this. As i make this post am using one as a modem. Just pair the device with windows via bluetooth then on the bluetooth menu just choose join a PAN. Note this can cost alot of money and therefore you need to obtain an unlimited subscription for data bundles you will be surprised how it works perfectly

The more a person uses their phone as a mini-computer, the more taxing it is on your battery life, and if you're not carful your wallet. Using the internet on your phone uses data. This can be very costly because believe it or not this service is not free. You usually have to pay a monthly fee to your service provider for data usage, or pay per magabite of use. Which can make for some very expencive bills. In addition to this, your battery is drained every time you browse the web, listen to music, stream video and for sending and reciving MMS and e-mail. How much you do effects battery which means you spend more time with your device glued to a charger. Using your smart phone can also be costly because it can take a lot of power to power a laptop or other wireless device. And, this too takes data. So moderation is key in using thease services.

Why does a person buy a gadget? Definitely to use the services it comes with. Nothing lasts forever even a man. What we are trying to say is that in all cases we have to utilize whatever we have irregardless of the amount it costs us. Am not saying we be uneconomical but utterly economical. Data is nowadays cheap especially with mobile phones compared to the cable LAN. A mobile phone operator will charge depending on what you download and some times they give unlimited services which can never be presented in cable networks or even other types of networks. The issue is this that we can utilize what we have to get the services that we need from the web.

I had used my phone as a modem before I haven't had access to WiFi.First you should connect your phone to your computer using Bluetooth or cable. It's a little complicated when you are using Bluetooth because you still need to pair it with the device and provide access code.Sometimes you also need to install a PC suite software of your phone in the computer so you can use your phone as a modem.

well I'm using my cell phone as a modem for more than two years now. Its a great feature in mobile phones that you can connect to internet through them without having to buy a new modem. Initially I used bluetooth to connect to internet using my phone as modem but now I use data cable most of the time...browsing speeds are just fine even when I'm not using 3G services.
