Slice The Pie!

I have had an account on a site called Slice The Pie for a while now, but haven't participated much. I just logged in today for the first time in months. I never really learned much about this site, but now I am interested in learning how it works, and how I can earn well from it. Do you participate in this site? If so, how do you increase your "scout rating" so that you can earn more? I only have one star, and I am looking to gain all stars so I can earn much more on this site. Today, I have reviewed at least 20 songs, but my scout rating has not went up. How long does it take? Is there anything I can do to increase my scout rating quicker? Any information or tips that my fellow myLotters can add here will be greatly appreciated!

Slice The Pie can be a good earner if you stick at it. I use it off and on but sometimes get bored with the music that I have to listen to and rate. My star level goes up and down - at the moment it's just at one star - it all really depends on what the people who rated each track before you said about it and to earn more, like I think someone above said, we have to be in the majority on each track's opinion....but we don't know what other people have said about the music which is probably a good thing. Suppose we just have to give our honest opinion and if it coincides with lots of others, our star level will increase but if it doesn't, then it decreases back to 1 again. I do sometimes find the site to be a bit slow, and assume that's at a time of day when everybody else is using it. When I firat started using the site about 3 years ago, I didn't quite understand the concept of giving a meaningful review, but since then I've become moderately proficient on other review sites and have learned how to do it. It's only since I've been writing better reviews on Slice The Pie that my star level has gone up (only to go down again afterwards - then up again, then down again). Stay with it as it could be a nice little earner for you.

Glad you've got to three stars...if it goes down, I'm sure it'll go back up again. I like the site and the music isn't as bad as it was when I first joined, which I think was about 3 years ago. It does get to be a bit of a drag though....I'm an 'oldie' and I find rap/hip-hop music very difficult to listen to. Back when I first joined, pretty much all the music was rap/hip-hop and I think that's why I abandoned it for such a long time - but they seem to have increased the variety of music they play now. Like you I do have to have breaks from it...those breaks usually last a couple of days LOLOL. As for MyLot, I only really stay on here when I browse through and spot something that I feel I can comment on - otherwise I drift off at a loose end around the internet. Good luck with Slice The Pie - I might have another go at it myself later as it's a couple of days since I was last there.

Since I started this discussion, I have managed to move from one star to three, and I have managed to keep it at three. Hopefully, it doesn't go down, and it only goes up. I am really starting to like the site, because there is good earning potential... but as you said, listening to all those songs and rating them can become a bit tedious and boring. I have to take breaks every now and then. On my breaks I often find myself here at myLot, haha!

Yes, I believe if it does go down I can get it back up. I would like to see myself get to 5 stars, haha! Not sure if/when that will happen though. It's possible! I like many genres of music, which is probably why I am able to deal with their music. I like a little bit of everything.

I love Slice the Pie. To me, it seems like a really good site to earn. I signed up a few weeks ago and hardly go on and I already have 5 dollars. I used to be a 3 star reviewer but then my rating went down to a 2 star. In order for your rating to go up I think you have to give quality reviews and rate the song so that it fits in to the average of how everyone else rated it. I'm not sure if that's exactly how it works though, that was just an educated guess from my personal experience. I think if you keep at it, you'll be able to increase your rating and earn more.

Hi courtknee525, Thanks for responding! Wow! $5 already, and you hardly go on! You're obviously doing something right! I only have 80 cents right now, but I suppose that is because I only have one star. Hopefully, I can get to at least 2 or 3 stars soon.

Yeah once you get at least 2 stars you'll really start earning. Just try and be as descriptive as possible in your reviews, they want them to be helpful to the artists. Usually I'll just point out what I liked, didn't like, or what could use a little work to make it a better song.

It's a pretty neat site, and if you work at it and get your stars up... you can make some really good money! Of course, you won't get rich... but you can get up to 20 cents per review at 5 stars. That's a dollar per 5 reviews!

used to have a slice the pie account but never really panned out right for me. i had really high expectations for this site as i am an avid music listener so i thought that i'll have a relatively easy time making reviews and earning from this site but it wasn't so. anyway, hopefully, you get your answers and you do well in slice the pie. cheers!!!

I forgot to say - sometimes they'll send an email saying they're giving all scouts for a very limited period, a "pay rise" and that can be anything from receiving the amount normally paid for 3 stars upwards. Those periods are very limited though. Sometimes I've logged into Slice The Pie almost immediately after having received one of those emails, and found the campaign has already ended...yet at other times it seems to run for longer. Good luck with it!

That sounds cool! Maybe I will get to participate at those times, as that can be a nice boost for earnings on there.

Hello Angelee, Slice-the-pie was one of a kind earning site through the use of music reviews and rates, it was one of the best sites that i have earned for a long time. unfortunately, such had short lived because the coverage they had in the Philippines was nothing more than just for US users, before it was originally British.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. I live in the US, so I am using it with no problem. I didn't know that not everyone could participate. Are you sure about that?

Hi Angelee, Im currently on bed rest on my laptop... leg is in way too much pain to sleep. I am interested in the site you posted, Hopefully someone will reply who has been paid by them and can verify they are indeed legit. I emailed Angel Tonight, I feel horrible regarding her I just had no way to get in touch with her and in a matter of days I find out if my leg is gonna need to be amputated. Have you found any new good legit get paid sites. If your a member of Slice The Pie, Please Respond and let us know if its legit or a scam it be very appreciated Thank You
