I have just completed my Foundation Degree, like many others around the world I am on my summer break before I complete a full BA degree. I am wondering what other people have done, or are doing with their lives after University.
Did you make it in the profession you wanted?
Have you achieved the degree you wanted?
What are you doing something different what is it?

Although I did not get the degree I originally intended (M.D.), I did end up getting a master's degree and having the most satisfying 24 years of my life!
I originally started out to be a researcher in neuroscience. Specifically, I wanted to do research in exactly what happens in the brain during foreign language acquisition.
However, politics in my country made that impossible for me. So I switched to my second love, classical music. I got a Master's degree in voice and became an opera singer. After a few years I moved to Europe and sang opera there as my full-time career. However, eventually I had problems with immigration that could not be overcome, so I moved back to the USA and started my own business as a classical singer and teacher, and I found a specialty niche and am starting to be quite successful at it! I don't consider my premed degree wasted as singing is nothing but setting up the physiology to take advantage of physics. (Well, there's the artistry, too, but the technical foundation of voice production is all physics.)

It's nice to see you have found something that you love, I've always wonder if I made the right choice to do a degree rather than go straight in to work. But I won't be tell until I finish and get a job lol.
