How to keep grubs and insects out of our raspberries?

I have a bunch of wild raspberry bushes on my property. This is the first year I have picked from them. A small amount of them were ripe, but when picking them, some had insects or grubs inside. :P What are my best options, in your opinion? Also, would picking the berries as early as possible help much? Thank you all for your help! P.S. The berries that looked fine tasted amazing!!
