My husband is severely allergic to the environment we live. Why do we live here you ask? Well, that's easy a good job, family, kids in school etc.
He has to take medicine EVERY morning to make it through the day. The problem is that he seems to "forget" his medicine almost EVERY freaking morning. It drives me nuts! He will start sneezing up a storm and then I have to say did you take your medicine which he will reply no not yet.
ARGH! Do you have any allergies? What do you do to maintain them?

I'm allergic with steel and any kind of "logam".That's why I can't use watch or ear ring longer.

Of course I can wear 24 carat gold, but other of gold, I can't.It may stand on my body for maximum two days. And sometime before two days I've got my ear or other body turn to red and hurt.I think it's freak allergic, don't you think so?

I don't think it's a freak allergy. I know several that have this allergy that is why I knew to ask about the 24 carat gold earrings.
At least it's an allergy that you can control. Not like having allergies to the environment. Think of it that way! :)

I wouldn't stay in a place like that, if I'm allergic to it. As for your question, I don't think I'm allergic to anything. Well, if I am, I still weren't able to find out what it is exactly.

I know how you feel. My sister has allergies for crabs. We had to take her to the doctor the first time she ate one. Her whole face just kind of bloated red.

Well, moving isn't an option for us. At least right now. We have bought out house and with a good job in this society it's not smart to move and lose the job.
If he takes his meds every day he is good.
Glad to hear you don't have allergies though! They can be so pesty!

I have some food allergies and I hate it. I have learned to avoid the worst but some of them are worth having to take a pill for. I just get a few itchy hives, so it's not life threatening and an antihistamine takes care of it. I get hives otherwise, too, but haven't figured out just what causes it and I can't afford to go to an allergist. I went to one my doctor recommended and it cost $150 just to get him to see me and he wasn't all that interested in my case. I guess I didn't look like I had enough money to interest him. Sorry for the rant.

No problems about the rant. I understand. I went to an allergist as well and they turned me away because I couldn't pass their dumb breathing test. Well, duh! I have asthma!

There was this brand of Orange juice that I was allergic to. I never knew the orange juice was the culprit coz I drank it like it was nobody's business and the next day bedridden with cold. And it took so long for us to figure that out . Anyway we don't drink that anymore and anyway my preference has switched to mango juice instead =)

My allergy is very weird, because sometimes I have and others time I don't. I have allergy to dust, perfume or any other strong fragrance. But, it's not all the time, depends of the day. Sometimes, I can use a cologne, but others time if I stay next to someone with a strong fragrance, I can't stop to cough, it's really not comfortable. I never did anything about it, because I never thought it was that serious, but I'm think to try a homeopathic treatment.

I hear ya! Smoke bothers me. I am glad that perfume doesn't cause an allergic reaction for me because it seems some people think it's a soap and not a perfume! YIKES!

here is a tip: rub vaseline on the inside of your nostrils. it helps trap pollen, dust and other allergens and stops them from getting into your sinuses. it really works for me! (i am a severe hayfever sufferer!)

One thing I am very allergic to is coconut, any thing that has coconut, fruit flesh or juice. If I take any of that, even just a bite, I become dizzy, because my blood pressure goes up. I have now stopped taking any thing that has coconut these days. I just have to be very careful.

i experience allergies from a lot of things. it's very itchy and i swell up a lot in my entire body - good thing i'm not asthmatic. i like to consider my condition as seasonal. when it's around, i try to ignore & desensitize myself and of course take antihistamines! maybe you can help your husband create a working system for himself to cope with it effectively. at first, it may not be easy, i know this for a fact but once you get used to it, it may just be a part of your routine already..:p

I have those type allergies that make me swell up and itch too. Mine is strawberries and sweet potatoes. They cause me to itch, and my throat swells shut. I can take a benadryl and then have a very itty bitty bit of strawberry jam. Once in a while I have to have just a little. :)

I do have a few allergies, certain foods and medications, in which I completely avoid. I also have the seasonal spring and summer allergies and do take Claritin. The only way I know how to remember is to remember how miserable I feel and that prompts me to not forget.

I hear you. The problem is that taking the medicine every day on time will help build up a wall of immunity. But I shouldn't complain I forget my medicine in the season I need it. Argh!

My son has terrible allergies. His eyes get all water and swelled up. He sneezes like crazy and a lot of times he will get a sore throat. He is the same way. Always for getting to take his medicine. I have to remind him on a regular bases.
It seems like if you have something that made you sick you would remember to take your medicine ex - specially when it is on a every day bases.
Have a blessed day.

Oh. You and you're husband must be having hard time everyday dealing with his allergies!
I got allergies.. but I can control it! I don't eat eggplants! Before, when I don't know I have allergies about this and I ate a lot of eggplants (cooked of course) and after an hour I start scratching all over my body and I turn red..
That's when I discover I have one. I guess I was in the 5th grade that time and up to now, as much as possible I'm controlling myself not to eat one..

It's hard not to eat something you enjoy. I know that I have an intolerance to gluten which is in most bread. I do miss having a hot buttered roll!

Hey.. Can I tell you the easiest way to kill waflay? Just a little smoke can kill him. I'm allergic to any kind of smoke. I can't bear it even how small amount can easily choke me.
I usually avoid it in whichever way possible

I am allergic to seafood and my youngest daughter is allergic to tomatoes! =( She cannot have pizza, spaghetti and anything with them in it. It's so hard because she loves those things! =( I hate it for her... She can only have a tiny bit, anymore than that and she breaks out with hives and she itches all over the place. My poor baby =(

I feel for her! That is my reactions along with my throat swelling shut when I eat strawberries!
I can't imagine a poor kiddo not being able to enjoy a slice of pizza with her friends!
