IceJam

I got a new fridge last August that has ice and water in the door. I love it because we can get ice water anytime without opening the freezer door. However, twice now the ice chute has jammed and we have had to break it loose. My question is this:
Anyone on here who has experience with this sort of thing, please tell me how I can prevent the ice jamming in the first place? I would appreciate any tips and helps you can give! Thanks.

we don't experience that here friend, actually it takes a lot of time to form ice in the fridge itself, check the rubber insulation on the door if it's ok,

Well, it is a new fridge so yes, it is operating without any wear and tear yet. I suspect that we have been holding the door open too long at a time. We'll just have to be more careful about keeping it closed.

We just got a refridge just like that this year and we to Love it :) We also find that sometimes the Ice takes a while to even get down to wear it despenses so maybe it's a common occurance. Not sure how we could prevent it for the future.

I think the problem is holding the door open too long when we get into the freezer but sometimes that cannot be helped.
