I had a home base job and I want to know more opportunities to work online. I had read few discussion here but when I sign up, it asked for a membership fee. Too bad, but what I want are opportunities as long as not scams and could help me earn more. Thanks in advance for those who have any suggestions...

oDesk and the other bidding sites are completely legitimate. However, you have to bear in mind that it's not the site paying you for the work - it's the employers who post their jobs on the site.
Thus, although oDesk is trustworthy, the employer may not be. Always be careful and opt for escrow payment if you can. I recently posted a list of 10 scams to watch out for on the bidding sites (on my blog), too. oDesk isn't responsible for the employers' integrity (or lack thereof).

You mentioned you've already used oDesk - the alternatives in the same vein are Elance, Guru and Freelancer (all .com). They're pretty much the only reliable ways to find data entry work, as far as I'm aware (and kudos for avoiding the membership scams... never trust anyone who wants you to pay them to let you work!).

I am interested in data entry jobs too, and I have been looking for them browsing over the internet and using search engines. I had once paid a fee to an online company which said they will provide the links to data entry job sites. That was a scam, and nothing came. One has to be very careful with that kind of scams.
