Ok, I am trying everything in my power to figure out how to help myself fall asleep and STAY asleep.
I cut out caffeine no later than 3pm each day. I do yoga, exercise, mediate, turn the TV off, read. You name it I have done it.
Any suggestions helping me fall asleep and stay asleep?

Oh gosh sorry to hear you are unable to sleep, I know this feeling to well. Usually for me it last for a few days and then my body sort of gives in with time. Have you tried meditation? I haven't but someone was telling about it the other day. I do hope you can get some good zzz's soon.
Maybe it is a bit of stress and or subconscious thinking.

Yes it happens to me too, from time to time, where I simply can't sleep and feel so restless. Yeah bharatsharma if it gets way too bad a doctor would be helpful.

Gurl,
You follow me well! :) Yes, I think this time around it's stress related. UGH!

I recommend doing some math problems or playing a puzzle game to tire the mind. I used to suffer from very bad insomnia and I found that to be the most efficient way of getting to sleep. My body was tired but my mind was too filled with thoughts to rest. If I got out a puzzle book or some real tough math problems I found it would tire my mind out and I would literally fall asleep while doing them. Try it out and I'm certain it will work. Be sure to turn off any distractions such as your computer and cell phone!

Thank you for the advice. I have started turning off the cell phone and that does seem to help a bit.

The thing i do is close my eyes and try to not think of anything. I know that's hard to do coz everything eventually comes back and I'm thinking of this or that.
Anyway I've read somewhere this trick and it does hep me at times. The thing is, you have to think of what you did that day from early in the morning to the time you went to bed, step by step. By the time I'm even half way through I'm asleep.
Try it and I hope it helps you =)

That's a good thought. I will try that along with my aroma spray tonight. Hopefully it will help and I can STAY asleep.

I don't know if you want to do it naturally or with medicine. If you do want to go with medicine then you can take a sleep aid like tylenol pm. It generally works pretty well. Good luck

I used to take things like tylenol pm but I just got so habit formed on them that I stopped. I take melatonin now and I still wake up about 2 hours later wide awake!

sometimes, if you have too much exercise and if you read too interesting story before sleep, also will affect your quality of sleep. maybe you can drink cup of hot milk before sleep, this may help, or you can get some aroma spray that is good for sleeping(like applying aromatherapy)..
