God Moment

I was just leaving the store and I heard this car horn just blowing and blaring. Another car was backing out of a parking space and the car that was blarring the horn was in the path of the car backing out of the parking space. Just a hair inch before an impact the car backing up stopped. No impact. The woman that was backing the car out hit her brakes so fast and hard her truck was leaping. I saw the whole thing and I said without hesitation "Praise God. Well the man driving the other truck wasn't having a God Moment, he was very upset at what could have happened but didn't. My thing is he should have been thanking God that he wasn't hit by the other truck. Instead of getting all bent out of shape. When I left the parking lot he was still shaking his head as in upset, upset and still upset. How would you've of handled this God Moment? Before you answer Think. Just think about I am so thankful to God that I am not hurt and my truck didn't get damaged.

I more than likely would have not been having a God moment in your sense either. I more than likely would have been telling that other driver he was a God (expletive) idiot!

Fridman how are you doing? Long time no see. I was absent from MyLot for a long time. It's good to see you are still around and wearing those hi-heeled shoes. And now you need to behave yourself and give all the glory to God.

It is always like that for people who can't control their mind and think 'what ifs'. Raging with anger in a moment like that? God knows how to save His people form danger.. and as a way to tell human-kind that He is there watching over us from a distance. Thanks be to God, none is hurt.

You are so right. Very few people have gotten to that point in life.

I would have been so thankful nothing happened. I can't imagine throwing a fit. I hope he wasn't verbally getting into it with the woman. I'm not into getting amd at people for near misses. I'm just thankful they are actual misses, and not real hits.

Some people don't know how to be thankful for things that they should be thankful for. Most likely those people are very negative in their every day life and are hard to be around. Although my husband loves me and I know that and he's very good to me however, he is negative. VERY negative that I have to kind of bring him back to the present and make his realize that the past is just that, the past to leave it there. I'm not perfect myself however, I do find myself saying "Thank God" a lot because of something going the way I'd hoped it would. God knows I'm faithful to Him and always will be. My husband is too but still, he's more on the negative side in a lot of things however, he does have his faith in God too and tries to be the best person he can be.

That is reality. Some people are more concern about their property than people's life and safety. Just want to share this video and I am sure this is one good example how people reacts with accidents and incidents in daily life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsJs4AYa8sU&feature=related have a great weekend

Hi jaiho2009. Just finished watching the video and I guess you can say take longer to look for oncoming vehicles before backing out. Or keeping looking in all directions before backing up. Thanks for the video.

You are right that this man should be very grateful that he was not hurt, and that the impact didn't happen - obviously someone was watching over him! But I also understand his reaction - in a moment of fear where you are worried that something terrible is going to happen it is sometimes difficult to feel grateful and rather you release all that tension you are feeling with anger and rage. I am sure by the time he got home and calmed down a little he will have realised how lucky he was though - at least I hope so!

I am not the type to hold on to my fear and anger, I am more likely to be thankful and praise God. I do not want to relieve those negative emotions.
