Rain Shower Feels Good, It Made Me Run Again

Thursday morning, 3:30AM (I work in a call center so my work is at night and ends in the morning) I was on my way home from work. It's just a walking distance about 30-40 mins so everytime I go home, I just walk instead of hitch to my friend's car or ride public vehicles. A drop of rain fell on my skin and I hurried to get my umbrella ready. It was a strong rain. My umbrella was worthless, I still get wet with the rain so I decided to close it and run to home (my mini backpack is water proof - Thank God it is!). So I was running. The street is like a ghost town and I'm the only survivor. The place is filled with darkness and I don't feel like going home. All of a sudden I switch to I different way, a longer distance. It has been 4 yrs since the last time I ran as fast as I did in a freesbie competition when I was still in high school. I had an injury on my left leg the last time I played for the team and since then I was not able to run the way I used to. Not because I can't but because I'm afraid to. Until that Thursday morning when rain made me run. I found it quite a good exercise, running under the rain. :)

I hope you won't get sick afterwards though. You had a great exercise, but I think it was risky, especially doing it after just having finished work. Your body must have been tired and the rain at that time would have been cold. Just take precaution medicine if necessary. I'm no medical expert, so you can or not take my word. Just concern, that's all.

Thanks for you concern choybel! Yeah, my place is not dangerous but it was cold. Lack of sleep dropped my level of immune system so now I got colds but I've had fun. :)

Aren't you afraid to walk in the street at 3:30 am. I guess, there aren't bad people in your place , so you are courageous to walk at that very early and dark hour.
At least, you have experienced how it is to run in the rain. i bet, it made you feel cold.

Nope, it's not that totally dark. There are street lights everywhere. I've had fun running under the rain but yeah I got a bit of colds afterwards. :)

Imagine running in the rain at the break of dawn. It would have been so nice to take a picture of you doing that.
I bet, you slept soundly after that, because of the refreshed feeling you had.

3.30 am means dark night u know. How did u manage? great. Though it is 30 mins walk it is better to take a company cab and get down in the house. think. Safety on the road to be looked into. Of course car drivers are also bad. that is another problem. take care.

Yeah, but it's already a.m. so I call it morning. LOL! It is still dark but not really dangerous as I'm lucky to be living in Philippines' center of business industry. Besides there's a lot of street lights around and 24/7 stores like 7/eleven. The place is safe so I can go wherever I want at any time.
Thanks ravisivan! :)
