Why does the old ones want their child or relatives to be in this ??
I'm really confuse and have a little anger,, that when others ask me, what did you took in College, I said Information Technology, and they respond "Ahhhh...Anu yun? (What's that), and I said it's about computer programming... I hope someday,, the expression that they will respond "WOW..THAT's GREAT"..
but why does, if other took this professions, they are really passionate and excited to talk about it.
Thinking on the fact that we are all took in College and we took different roads.. and on that adventure in the road, we all did our best, but in the end, they are only proud on them,

Some people could really be judgmental of the type of courses we take. It's as if taking those courses that leads to a high paying profession is the only way that a person could be successful in life.
I can only sigh, when i meet people like that.

People want their kids to choose a profession that has a great achievement associated with having the qualifications associated with them. It also allows the child to have financial security for the rest of their lives which will increase the chance of the child having a spouse. If they find a spouse and have a job that provides a decent income then the chances of the parents having grandchildren also increases. There are many other reasons I'm sure, however you could narrow it down to having financial security.

But not all the parents wants their child to choose their profession, like choosing to be a soldier... what I point out is the discrimination to the courses and professions, most of the parents want their child to be a doctor, lawyer or Engineer.. but everyone could be rich without taking this courses..
