What will happen if you will marked the discussion best response?

Selecting Best Response is not compulsory. It simply takes it from you unresolved tab. There are no earnings with Best Response, it simply allows a member to get Boasting Rights. It is always a great feeling to receive it, as it says the discussion starter found the response to be the most helpful and useful to the discussion. You really do not have to select one as sometimes you will find more then one person having a best response and since we can only select one, some members will leave it unresolved. To date though I do not start many discussions and do take a while to resolve I have managed to select the BR's.

Hello Mackenzie_jad228, In my opinion we should always choose best response from the responses you get on the discussion to motivate people if you find any response good.It is not mandatory though to select BR.It does not help to earn more to the user whose response you select as BR. I have not seen any instance till that i have selected BR and MYLOT changed it though i have an incident that mine response was selected as BR by someone and that discussion was deleted by Admin that was very panicky for me as i rarely get BRs and if deleted by admin it really hurts but then it was violation of guidelines thats why it was deleted don't mind it now as it has to be deleted. May be you too have come across such situation that the BR you had selected may be deleted by ADMIN due to same reason but in that case too admin don't select BR automatically.

I try to rate mine. I think its awfully nice when people respond to your discussions. It also helps us understand what others are interested in. I wait sometimes a couple of weeks, but I try to keep my articles fresh and up and try to be honest to me who I feel deserved the best response. Sometimes you will find 2 answers that can be classified best response. I will take those two and reread them and see what they each pointed out that stood out to my discussion and that is how I pick the best repsonse. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the rating or not. But when someone gives me a best response I go and thank them as I get an email when there is a best response for me. I just feel if someone thinks I wrote a good discussion to comment on it then I owe it to the people that excerted their time in responding to it.

I think this is one of our roles here in myLot and as a member we are obliged to do so. I don't think earning has something to do with this but if you are a member of a community, you must do your role as to really belong and contribute to the community. We all want myLot to succeed and last long, isn't it? Then why not follow all the rules!

I seldom choose a best response in my discussion as well, mackenzie. I only choose one when I really like what I read. But I'm curious as well as to the earning potentials of this feature. After reading some of the responses here, I know more! So thanks for posting this query! I learned something new again today.

Hello Mackenzie, Like many others here, I must also say it is not compulsory but it is simply a way of appreciating others' thoughts or comments on the topic we are posting. Simply knowing or letting know that there are some who can somehow we can see to eye with certain views. For me, receiving BR in a post makes me feel so valuable and sensible. It gives me more confidence that I can share something that others can find helpful. With or without BR rating I think we are still free to speak up our minds and freely tell others how we see things in our very own point of view. :-)

Those no reward when you get a best response or when you pick a best response.I just like to give people best response because I like to get best response and plus I don't like seeing all those unresolved discussions in the unresolved tab.I pick one regardless of how many people comment on my discussion i just pick the one i think was best.

we will not get any earning from Best Response. Either to who are choosing BR or to whom it is giving will not get any money. But it is a happy feel that we have these many best responses, we have this much of good my lot history. It gives us, self satisfaction.
