That's good, buy your girl friend a fried ice cream! But maybe don't seduce her. HAHA! Although it's true that a lot of us girls go crazy over ice cream and chocolates.

Yes, it's really good! I also go to St. Francis to eat fried ice cream. I just can't help it even if I'm already gaining a lot of weight. Haha! My favorite is Melon, too! And Black Forest is yummy as well!

I remember fried ice cream when I was younger. There's was a restaurant that always sold it and it was my favorite dessert there. Unfortunately that restaurant closed down but when the restaurant my mother was working for had something called 'Portuguese Ice Cream' it was pretty similar. If you know what a Malasada is, it's a fried doughnut. What they do is they use the dough of the Malasada's and put it around ice cream and of course...deep fry it and top it with coconut syrup. SOOO good. I've had a few recipes but I've never tried it yet. I'm a little too scared and I don't think I have a freezer that can freeze it enough.

Wailana Coffee House in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. It's right across the street of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel.
The other deserts I like there are the Banana Lumpia served with whip cream and ice cream. My 8 year old son ordered that one night and since the cook knew he was my mothers grandson, they piled that thing with ice cream and whip cream.

What was the restaurant called? I've never heard of "Portuguese Ice Cream". But I definitely would want to try that! :)

It's not really "fried". It's just being "frozen" from a liquid form, but it looks like being "fried". Thus, the name "fried ice cream". Haha!

Now I'd like to answer this! Fried Ice Cream is one of the best delicacies I've ever tried! As a lover of sweets and treats, I'd really love to get another one, but I prefer gourmet. pinkpiglet, where have you tried "fried" ice cream? I'm gonna get one sometime soon!

You'll need water, ice cream pre-mixes and a fried ice cream machine. The machine is like a huge pan, but there's a freezer below so you can "fry" or in more realistic term "freeze" the ice cream. :)

Personally, I loved it. :) It's not as creamy because it's "fried", and it melts easily because it's just like any other ice cream! :)

Yes, I heard there are a few Chinese restaurants that offer fried ice cream. I'd want to visit one and try it. There's also some place where they have DIY or rather MIY "Make it yourself" fried ice cream. :)

Sorry but I think that sounds really weird, why on earth would you want to make something that is already fatty even fattier!?

As I've said in the comment above, it is not actually fried. It is "fried". Emphasis on the quote-unquote. :)
