This is a B-team of India. The test match being held in Dominica will end in a draw as a lot of time has been wasted due to rain. In future India should avoid playing B-teams in a test match . Its better not to play a test match than to play with a B-team. Virat Kohli has quite a way to go before he comes anywhere near to becoming a test player. Similar is the case with Abhinav Mukund. He is a classic example of someone coming into the team on the basis of regional quota. But for Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman India would certainly have lost the test match.

This is not a B-team of India. If you consider Rahul Dravid, VVS Laksham, Dhoni, Harbajan, Ishant Sharma, Raina, Praveen Kumar and the like to be second rated members of the Indian team. Kolhi is touring WI for the first time and Abhinav Mukund scored half century. If the indian bowlers remove the WI tail cheaply and if it doesn't rain, India could win the series 2-0

I would agree to the fact that India sent a B-team to the Westindies for the ODI series as most of the seniors were rested and Raina was given the opportunity to captain India and it included a lot of youngsters and new comers as well.
But the team playing in the test series definately cannot be called a B-team as they have a number of seniors playing in the team and just a couple of youngsters who need to be given a chance as one day in future they will have to represent India when the seniors retire. Why not train them along with other seniors as some of the other seniors are resting. The youngsters will get valuable experience and even though they may not perform well right from the beginning they will surely learn form this experiemnce.
Also considering that you have players like Dhoni, Dravid, Laxman, Harbhajan, Munaf and Ishant gives enough of experience to this team and they are a well balance unit that is playing in the Westindies. There is a good possibility that India can wrap uo the series 2-0 and it will only be possible if rain stays away. Lets see what happens and hope for the best..

Hi,
If our "B" team can win Test series why not they play in future too? Though you have mentioned this to be the "B: tea if you see deep into the matter you would see many veterans playing there. Rahul Dravid, Laxman, Harbhajan, Dhoni etc.
With these power of course we can bot say they are 'B' team.

its not fair to call this team as B TEAM it still consists the players of dravid and lakshman and bhajji and MS yes i agree virat and mukund has long way to go to make it to the longer version of the game, hope they will hone the skills in the domestic season this year. i guess with virat it more of technique then the temprement that needs to be polished. because he has good temprement if u considor he has couple of hundreds in ODIs. with mukund its temprement as technique looks fine he is solid in defence. with vijay i am sorry he is still have a tag of chennai supper kings he needs to forget as soon as possible when he is playing for india. he comes accross as very casual batsman unlike Viru. playing loose shots and getting out not acceptable in the international matches. but all in all these youngster would learn a lesson or two in the years to come and am sure they will not hesitate to walk up to the greats like dravid and sachin for any motivation and correction they need to make in the mental and technical aspect of there game.
