Going through the old music times

Well, based on the previos era of music excluding 2pac and Biggies time frame, who did you find to be your favorite rappers?

Quite honestly ... I don't really follow Rap music and Rappers. My big love is the music and songs that emerged in the 60's and 70's. However, I did enjoy the raps of the SugarHill-Gang ... as a matter of fact, they had to be one of the first recognized group to introduce and perform this genre of music. Also, according to a Wikipedia post their single Rapper's Delight, was the first hip-hop single to make it into the Top 40.
