there are just times that I just want to lie in bed all day and not do anything... since classes has started i haven't been sleeping early and always have to wake up early, then spend like, 10 hours in school.. Since it's Saturday, I's quite glad that I can now sleep all day..I just feel so sleepy and when i wake up, I sleep again... Are there times when you just don't want to get out of the bed?

I have never remained in bed for the whole of the day, because I think it's a total waste of my time when there are so many other things that I could be doing with myself. If you think about it, the weekends are the only time that you get away from school or work so you should use those days to get things done that you enjoy, rather than just sleeping the days away. There's nothing wrong with catching up on sleep a little bit, but if it gets to the stage when you're just always in bed then you're wasting far too much time when you could be doing something more productive.

I can totally relate to how you feel! It's normal that that's what we always feel every school days. But I feel really grateful that I always feel tired and sleepy and don't have enough time to sleep. At least we're being very productive with our lives instead of doing nothing at all even we're having too much time of sleep. Anyway, it still feels so great to lie in bed all day and rest.

No, i don`t like to be in bed the whole day as it makes me lazy and sick.Besides i regularly have an afternoon nap after lunch for a short while which makes me fresh for the evening.I am a retired person and this nap is good for me.Even when i was in school, around 45 years back i hardly ever used to sleep in the afternoon or on holidays but used to spend my time reading books as i was an avid reader.even in those days i never felt like sleeping the whole day or even for a few hours during holidays.

I think this is everyone's favorite past time! Who wouldn't want to lie in bed all day and do nothing?! lol. Whenever I wake up on work days, I feel sleepy and those are the times I want to stay in bed for like, forever lol. But after a few cups of coffee, a shower, a quite conversation with people, I regain my focus and proceed with life. Lol.

No you can't pay back the lost hours of sleep during the weekends. Just sleep enough everyday for 7-8 hours and you shall be energetic all day. I hate lying in bed but when I am depressed then I do it often.

Hello lady1993,
I had the same habit when i was a student as students normally have plenty of time. Then after completing my studies i joined a job at that time i was unmarried still i could manage and could give lot of time to bed but now today when i am married i hardly get more time to myself as responsibilities have increased now as apart from the job now i have to look after the kids sometime which my wife handles them in the day, household tasks have increased so i get lesser time to get in to bed but i will not loose the chance if given full SUNDAY to just lye on bed for whole day.

Yes! Definitely! I like to stay in bed especially if the weather is cold and I don't have urgent things to do. My bed is always my best friend! I just want to sing Bruno Mars' hit The Lazy Song! This happens usually during the weekends. This time is when I try to pay back all my sleep deficit for the week!

Yes of course - there are some days when i just feel so exhausted and can't get myself out of bed! But what I find is that if I just stay in bed and sleep all day I actually end up feeling worse and even MORE tired, even though that doesn't make sense - for me the best thing to do on lazy days is to get a good sleep, but then get up and do something active like go for a run. That lets the oxygen get to your brain and really wakes you up and gives you energy for the day ahead!
