I wondered whether anyone would like to look at (maybe even follow) my weight loss blog.
It includes my weigh ins, tips, recipes, healthy snacks, progress pictures, general thoughts and feelings, and much more.

I just scanned through the site, and I saw your pic in there.
I think that from where you started, you really look healthy.
I am not trying to lose weight, but I am trying to get healthy. I've started biking to work, and have tried to avoid some of my favorite indulges. Hopefully I'd feel better later on.

Thank you very much! I can really see the difference between the way I looked before and the way I am now. I do look a lot healthier, however I do know that I'm still a long way from being a healthy weight and I have to stay on task and make sure that I don't start putting the weight back on again. I have a lot of people supporting me so I think that I might be able to stay on track for long enough to lose the weight that I need to finish losing. It's been a long journey, but I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know that I'll get there.

Glad to hear that you are loosing weight. Actually with all of my Health problems, (some of it could be Stress), I have actually been able to loose weight as well. I am actually down almost 10 pds. since getting sick and ending up in the hospital, etc. It has been interesting as I do have my days I really want to eat, and the days where it is no big deal. Just waiting for the day where it feels better to want to walk, and being able to do more like this as well.

I am sorry that you haven't been well, but I am happy that you have been able to lose weight at the same time because that just shows that something positive can come from a bad situation. The most important thing, once you get better, is that you manage to change your lifestyle so that you can continue to lose the weight that you've been losing up until this point. I would hate to put any of this weight back on now, so I've decided that I'm not going to put any back on. I'm monitoring my weight and if it gets above a certain point I will diet again and lose it.

One of the main reasons that I am sharing my story is that losing weight has been the best thing that I have ever done for myself. I really want other people, men and women alike, to know that they can succeed with the right amount of effort, and I feel as though I am someone who has proved that over and over again on this journey. Passing the link to people who are trying to lose weight is helpful to them even more than helping me, because if it inspires them to lose weight it might be the difference between existing and living. That really is how strongly I feel about it.

haha!! Good for u! Everybody has different ways to lose weight, and it's good to be on the healthy side ^^ My method of losing weight is about the same as yours, just that i dun watch my diet.. haha =D INstead i choose to exercise more, running more to burn off my calories.. lol = With that, i'm able to eat more, and lose more too.. haha

Yes everyone has different ways indeed! The most important thing when losing weight, in my opinion, is to do whatever works for you. The trick is being able to find that method. Some people find it a lot easier to cut back on food than to increase the amount of exercise that they do, whereas a lot of people find the complete opposite. I myself find that a balance between the two is that I find most effective, as I have completely managed to transform my life and change both my diet and the way that I live. I am proud of that, and hope that I never have to go back to the way I was before.

It is wonderful that you've been able to lose a lot of weight and it is also wonderful that you are willing to share your tips with other people that are on the journey of losing weight. I myself am attempting to lose weight, I did really good for a while and during that time I lost about 10% of my body weight. However, I've really been struggling lately because of my husband's medical problems and learning to deal with those things.

I am always more than willing to share my tips with anyone who's wanting to lose weight. It has been the best thing that I have ever done in my life because it's just helped me to feel a lot better about myself, and I have got a lot more confident and popular with men. Well done on losing some weight; at least you know that you've done it once, so you'll be able to do it again some day. I worked out last night that I have lost 24% of my body weight, and I have the same amount to go again meaning that I'll literally be half the person I was before.

You're very welcome :). One of the things that helped me the most is being able to fit into clothes that I either haven't worn for years, or have never been able to wear. At the moment, I am lighter than I was when I was 14, meaning that a lot of the clothes that were in fashion then are no longer in fashion. This means that I am able to buy an entirely new wardrobe of things that I've never worn before; including dresses which I didn't think that I would have the body for in my entire life, but I guess I have proved myself wrong.

I think that is wonderful. Thanks for sharing with us. I honestly do not think I will ever get my weight off. I tend to feed my nerves and they are always torn up. Sigh!

Never give up. I thought that I would always be fat, too. I was fat all of the way through my childhood and teenage years and everyone has always known me as "the fat one" simply because I've never been anything different. If you comfort eat, then you could see a doctor and they might be able to give you some medication for your nerves. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and wouldn't be strong or dangerous, but just something light to take the edge off might be the difference between you reaching for the chocolate or being able to stay strong and succeed :).

Thank you so much for sharing that. I looked at it briefly and it's definitely something I want to read so I've bookmarked it for the end of the workday. You have a really down to earth approach. I've always struggled with my fat and am trying to lose most of it right now but without much success. Your blog looks as if it will be very encouraging and a real help to me.

You're very welcome, and I hope that the blog made good reading for you when you managed to view it. I find that reading about how well other people are doing helps me, so I am blogging about my progress, and also about just some of the tips that I have picked up along the way. I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but I think that I have experienced enough about weight loss now to be able to help other people get through what can be one of the toughest journeys of their entire lives.
