Personally, I think that the profitability of the business depends on how you effectively manage it. And in my opinion, having a business will prosper you financially than being just an employee. Well, good luck with your endeavor. :)

Well, in reality for me I would think that it often depends on what type of Business you are considering wanting to do, and if it is from home, a small shop, and the type of Capital you are wanting to invest in this as well. I know I have tried both ways even with having a Business outside the home, and they all take risks. But if you can afford to hire someone, or have someone help you and the capital is there, I would say Go for it for sure.

First off, you have to have capital to run your own business, this requires a skill, trade and some organization. Working at a place is a little different because you share responsibility with other employees. To work for yourself, you have to have enough capital to start a business and the know how. It's not easy to do, but you can.
