Do You Have A Routine?

I know there are many here who their lives revolve around myLot. Whether you are in here an hr. a day, 3 hrs. a day, or 6 or more hrs. a day usually I am sure you have some ideas and thoughts to how you are going to be active in here that day. Will it be just spent responding back to your Friends New discussions that they have started? Or will it be just responding to the Hot or popular ones, or will you be taking time to respond back to discussions that you have started and choosing the Best Response? For me, it often a lot of time depends on my mood, and the amount of time that I have to be active in here. I do try and keep up with a lot of my friends who are quite active in here especially when they're taking time to keep up with mine. But on days time is limited I just post back to discussions I can relate too, and hope for the Best from there. So what is your Routine? ~~TINA~~

I come here every day for breakfast and sort through notifiers. I deal with PMs first and then, if there is nothing offline which must take priority, I then comment back to comments that have been made on responses that I left recently. I usually go through the other responses onthose topics too and often add a comment here and there while reading them. Then I go to the 'recent' tab and see what is happening in real-time. I might join in with some of those topics or I might decide to add comments to my own discussions. That just depends on my mood too, like you. When I am here for breakfast it is usually much slower than it is at peak time a few hours later so I have time to catch up, unless there is a particular topic which gets my attention and then catching up has to wait until the next day, or the next, or... I think you can gather that the only thing that can be called anything similar to a routine is the fact that everyday I log on for breakfast but then even that is snot the same time each day. I guess that means that I don't have routine here at all

Well there are days I am on here as soon as I get home from work until the time I end up getting too tired to be here anymore, and log off and get some sleep, and then there are times that I am on here when I get up around 10:30 and will post some before doing other things I need to do before heading off to work. But overall it often depends what else is happening, or if I am finding I need to take time spending it doing something elsewhere as well.

Yes, there is always tomorrow. So when you do need to take time away from being online and spending time doing other things this is OK. Good thing as we both know is myLot will be here waiting when you can come online.

I do have a routine and myLot is part of it. I get up in the morning and feed one of my dogs his breakfast (the other one doesn't eat in the morning by choice) then I put on my coffee and go outside to feed the stray cats. I've turned on the computer so I go to my email and Swagbucks search in separate windows. Make coffee, bring it to my desk and look through the email. myLot is my company while I'm drinking my coffee and waking up. I answer what interests me and if I have any time left I do a couple of surveys or a search to get some extra points to buy giftcards. Meanwhile, during one of my stretching breaks, I've started breakfast. By the time I finish my coffee and breakfast I'm mostly through my myLot emails. At 9AM I start work, which is writing articles, and I break for lunch then go back at it till 4PM when I quit. All day I'm hearing the email alert and looking to see if anything good from myLot came in and if it does, I craft a response and read the responses of others. So myLot is a part of my day. My friends there make virtual conversation with me in the morning to help me wake up and I let them drop in during the workday. It makes the day more interesting for me and gives me a small sense of community, like I'm not isolated, because I don't get away from my house and yard very often and don't get much socialization--which is fine by me but I do enjoy the interaction.

Yes, my Computer is actually on all the time, even when I am sleeping or the days I am so busy that I do not really have the time to get online. A lot of times myLot is definately one of the many windows that I have open so that when I can find a Free minute even on my busiest days I usually can come post a little in here. But I seem to have too many friends that are active here to be able to keep up with all the Emails that are coming in, but I try and do what I can.

The friends and companions on MyLot would be what I would miss the most if I could not be here. With the weather warm, I take my laptop to the front porch for a while and enjoy the daylight while visiting with friends. Right now I am at my brother's house, and will be going to church soon.

Hi Tina, I am in here daily, however I have not started a discussion in a long time. I most often just respond to discussions that appeal to me. I have my notifiers set to let me know when someone responds to my response so it is pretty easy to stay up to date.

I have my notifiers, but as you can tell I am quite behind with keeping up with my discussions and such. I am trying to do a better job, but lately time has been quite limited in the time I can be online so I have to make sure and do what I can when I am here.

I have my Mylot discussions and responses emailed to me. I do all the ones I get unless they are about religion, politics or something foreigner I know little to nothing about. I usually do quite afew answers then go to Facebook or another site and play a game or do some research for an article I am writing. Then back to Mylot and when I finish all the ones I have been sent I will go to the site and check out the Hot ones and whatever else interests me at the time. And it is nice to hear something different from you besides about your illness. I hope that means you are feeling better.

There is no way I would ever get caught up with all of the discussions that my friends start as well as responding back to all the discussions I have started. I know there are many times in which my time is limited here, but I try and come here when I can. I Love to keep up with some of my friends here, and like you post back to all unless they are just things I am not comfortable in responding back too.

My spare time is spent here which differs from day to day. I have the mail tab open and as I am busy on myLot I will get indication if there are any notifications waiting for me. I immediately access my mail and take action where necessary. I hardly keep anything pending as I get moderate number of responses which makes it easy for me to attend to them pronto.

You must have a lot more time to spend online that me then, or have a lot less friends who are quite active here. I am always behind and that don't count from time to time when I decide to start a New discussion as well.

Yes, I know that there are many people here who post at least 5-6 New discussions a day and it makes you wonder how they can ever keep up. There are days I spend most of my time here responding back on discussions I have already started and try to keep caught up but life happens, and so time in here is not as much as it once was for sure.

I have many 'friends' Krause.. but I do not respond to several of their topics. Some post as many as five to six at one go! As a matter of fact the topics that I respond to need not necessarily be from 'friends'. If I feel I am comfortable responding I choose topics at random.

Hi Tina! I think I have a routine and that is if I am able to log in the morning, the first thing I do is go to my PMs. Then I will go to my email alerts and respond to anything that I commented to prior to the day if a comment is warranted. I will then go through all my email alerts and determine if I can apply some quality useful and helpful responses to friends discussions. I also simultaneously go to the new discussion tabs to see if there is anything that may interest me from members who are not on my friend list. Depending on my mode and availability, this is generally how I participate here on myLot. There are days I can't log in until much later in the day, but generally the routine is about the same and the availability of my time. There may be days where I have to break off early and then come back later or the next day and pick up where I left off. The idea for me is basically to participate and have fun, I don't push myself as then the fun part will not be too encouraging. I am amazed as to how participation I am involved with as I guess having fun, means loosing track of time. lol

Yes, I tend to do a lot of these same things depending on the amount of time that I have to be active in here. Many times it never seems to be enough time to ever be able to ever catch up, but I do what I can and enjoy the time I have to be able to spend in here responding back as well.

I do not have a routine right now. I was getting ready for company and actually am traveling, and visiting family, so I am just popping in now and then for a little bit as time permits. I am visiting family and will have house guests.

I am trying to get better with that. The problem is on weekends, especially Sunday I do not get time to be in here, so that throws me off again, but I Love seeing what others have to say and keeping my discussions going if I can.

I make an effort to come here every day and lately, all I’ve been doing is responding to my friends’ posts because I am very behind and that is all I have time for and that is okay as long as I can contribute. I wish I could be here more but these days I am lucky if I can do more than ten posts at one time. Oh well, it’s better than nothing...

Yes, being able to come in here and respond back even if it is only 10 posts at a time, or in a day is better than nothing. There are days that this is about all I can do as well. I think sometimes we just need to remember that life does come first and myLot will continue to be here when we can.

Well i don't have a exact routine on Mylot, but i make a point of spending alteast 2 hours a day, when iam on a holiday i try to give my best here on Mylot but i seem to be lazy at times responding to discussions, apart from that talking about my routine i mostly spend my time in the evening from 5 to 7 daily during the day time i my classes then i come in afternoon have my lunch and then rest for a while, after my refreshment i enjoy posting and responding on Mylot it feels more relaxing helping people in their discussions and all, So this was all about my routine here on Mylot.

At least you have a set time where you try to be in here. I know there are times that I try to be active in here posting each day, but there is also other things I usually am having to get done before work, and then sometimes too tired after work but come here as often as I can as it is quite exciting to be here for sure.

My routine is almost the same as yours, except I don't start discussions. I respond to my friends and interests and go from there. If someone has started a lot of discussions, I try and pick one sometimes there isn't time for more.

Well, it is interesting to see what type of discussions many of my friends start and find time to respond back to some of them. It would be nice to be able to do more, but life with work, church, etc. has to come first not counting making sure I get my Sleep I need as well.

I try to come here whenever I get time. It is Sunday today and you know what was the most entertaining thing for me, it is the Mylot. I participated in many discussions today. It keeps me in a running position. I read the discussions carefully and then I give them the rating accordingly. Also I try to post in many discussions so that I could also earn some money here.

Well I will admit that it does take time to respond back and read discussions, but quite interesting. You never know what type of discussion you might come across from time to time, and people's interests will fluctuate for sure. But this is a great way to meet people and communicate from all over.

Well the first thing I do is check for responses for my discussions and try to reply for as much as I can. Then I move to discussions started by my friends and cleaning up my inbox at the same time. Then I go in the recently started discussions and see if I can find anything I can respond to. That is pretty much what I do everyday :)

Well, I am quite behind as this month has been a Super busy month. I am actually thinking that it will be a miracle for me to ever get caught up in here, but I do what I can. I also am one never afraid to add New friends in here even from people just starting out in here to give them a chance. It just seems like I am always wishing there could be more hours in my day.

I just joined myLot 2 days ago, but I'm hooked on it ever since. I was online for the whole 2 days. I only got 3 hours of sleep each day. Haha. myLot is pretty addicting! Anyway, my routine so far is check my e-mail notifiers, read those who have responded to my discussions, comment if I have to, look at the top discussions, read and response on the topics from my personal interests, and if something pops out of my mind, I start a new discussion.

I usually look at the discussions that are emailed to me by mylot, first and comments and responses then at new discussions and the mylot digest. If I have nothing else going on then I will look at the discussions that are listed at the top (the pictures and I look at the first discussion listed under the topic). I haven't had as much time lately as I did before since I am a student and need to spend time on school work, but even with that I at least try to reply to responses. Have a great week!!!

Yes, for me it definately always depends on the amount of time I have to spend in here. I am so far behind anymore with responding back to discussions that I have started as well as giving out Best responses, let alone all the New discussions people and friends are starting that are always coming to my Email box, but I do what I can as I have time, and continue to hope for the Best.

I ave a hard time setting a routine because I get distracted so easily. There are so many places to go online and when I try to focus on one thing something else catches my eye. When all the smoke has cleared, I have only made a few pennies but if I can get more organized and more targeted in my efforts, I probably could make more money.

So you can said I only response discussion from my friend or from someone who get lucky entering mylot digest, like you are . Sometimes I also look on discussion that's new member made if I had time left from responding my friend discussion. Its to made them feel welcome here. Real life really hectic now and being able to speak my mind here its really something I enjoy so much. Even its just few minute in a day. Have a nice day .

HI Tina! It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I can be here in long hours sometime I just feel like I want to spend a few minutes only. for most of the time when I get here I will check my email box first and give comments so discussions from my friend first. But since there are thousands more need to covered I use some of the time to just deal with other discussions starts by the other user in Top Discussions tab or in my interests. About my discussions since I am rarely start the new one so I will make sure I already answered to all of them before pursue to the write to the others' discussions.(^^)

Hi Jlyn!!! Yeah, there are thousands emails /alerts about friends' discussions in my email box and I don't know the exact time I will finish comment to all of them. There are chance for me to skip some of them but since lot are from my interests then it is okay if it takes time to respond to all of them. When I feel a little bit tired I will stop comment to them and start commenting discussions not in my friend list so that my head will not focusing to one group of people only.(^^)

Haha, you are right. I can see a person starting like 5 new discussions in one day. For me, I like responding to discussions more than starting one. At least it makes me think and I like giving my opinion on things or a subject that people are discussing.
