Camping out in the back yard, we did it last night

After our failed attempt to camp out last weekend, we were finally able to camp out last night in the backyard. I worried about getting cold, but it stayed warm and I was even sweating after covering up. It was pretty noisy for a while, we live near a main road, but I easily fell asleep which is good. What I really liked was the uninterrupted sleep, with the cat inside, we weren't woken up by her crying in the middle of the night. When we got up this morning, we discovered that we were locked out of the house. I didn't think to bring my keys out, nor did I bring my phone. But, we got my roommate up downstairs and he let us in. We're going to try to do this every weekend if it doesn't rain, it's very relaxing.

camping out in the backyard is a kids dream and a child who cant wishes they could camp in the back yard. camping is the no 1 thing everyone wants to do after school is out or even adults when they work every day and their lives are very stressful for what ever reason. they pack every thing and just take off to the back yard with yr family and enjoy life. u can have a barbequ. roasted marshmellows listening to music or even talking to a freind or love one. just let yr mind mellow and think of other things instead of school or work. there is other things to do for fun then get stressed. u can play with a frizzbe play ball get a baceball team to gether and play ball. the loser makes supper or do something that u wouldnt have done normally. if yr camping with your loveone then just spend time talking. naping or even playing games u enjoy doing together. even take them for a nature hike or even a walk and explore life in your own area that u live in. u would be surprised what u find. enjoying the evenings together and then cudle up and whatch the stars or even talk to one another about how they enjoyed the day and what would u loike to do tomorrow. life goes to fast and if u get the oppertunity to close the world off and take time for yr self or family or even loveone then do it because ull enjoy it. ull never forget what u did and talk about it until u die and even themn yr loveones can talk about it for the rest of their lives. they say that camoping in the back yard suths the sole and meditate and yr brain will feel alot better when u go back to the rugrace. ull feel 100 percent better and u would be happy doing it.

set up just like u would if yr leaving for a camp ground. u have to buy the grocerys and drinkables and stoves and coolers and ice and games and even edable and then park yr car in the garage and shut it. dont answer the phone and close yr ears for people coming around.set yr tent firepit if posiable and just enjoy life nto the fullest. u will never forget it. the reason for this is i use to do it myself and i really enjoyed it. it brings everyone closer and ull understand things a little better. try it and ull see what i mean.

I would never go out & really go camping like in the mountains & forest or anything like that because I have too much city girl in me for that, but I would love to try & camp out in my backyard. I think that would be fun. Unfortunately my husband would never go for it. In fact if I even suggested it he would think I was completely crazy.

I'm glad you were finally able to camp out this weekend. I haven't been able to do that for years. I don't know that I would be able to do it now only because I am living in a motel and I don't have anywhere I can afford to go to be able to do it and I would like to have some kind of shelter. Since I have limited funds, I wouldn't be able to buy a tent and it is really too hot to use any kind of cover outside. I like to be in my air conditioned room. I hope you are able to do that many times over the summer. Have a great week!!!

Hi. kris182_2000. I know that this was a fun experience for you all. This is something that I have always wanted to do when I was younger and while I am also an adult too. I love imagining and daydreaming of what all of the things that I would like to bring with me on my camping trip. Last week, I went online just to search on what related items that I should bring with me on a camping trip. There was so many things that I could bring! I think camping outdoors is so much of fun. I have always wanted to camp outside in my backyard where we have an fence that surrounds our home. I am glad that you all have enjoyed yourselves and I hope that you will be able to camp out again every weekend when it is not raining.

Sounds like you had fun camping out. The last time i experienced camping was in grade school in our school field. I didn't get much sleep though and my chocolate was stolen by someone. Anyway, it's good that your plan finally happened.

We went camping all week. I have the fun of putting everything away and laundry. It was relaxing, but glad we are home. It is a good thing you had a roommate there that could let you in. Have fun with your camp outs.

I guess it was lucky that you had a roommate there to wake up and get you in. I love the outdoor sounds when I sleep, and the fresh air. We do not hear our cats at night, and they are not allowed upstairs, where the bedrooms are.

That sounds really neat! We don't have a backyard for camping, but my mother does. We're having guests coming in the fall, and since there are so many of them, my mother has offered to let them crash at her place (4 in the house, and 4 in the trailer outside), and hubby and I are going to stay at a motel nearby, and come back in the morning. It'll be a great weekend for all of us!

well, don't forget your keys or phone next time! I hate to camp out, because I'm allergic to bugs... in fact, I'm allergic to just about everything, so I'd just as soon sleep in my own bed with my cats

Sounds like fun, I do not like bugs lol but this is something me and my daughters have not done yet. It may be an idea to start and see if they enjoy it at all. Yesterday we went to a really cool park near a river and they had fun. took a picnic lunch and walked some trails. We had fun and all it costs me was some gas money!

I am glad to hear you finally had the chance and good weather to sleep outside in the backyard. Here we would not be able to do so, as although there is a backyard we live in a big city and although our neighborhood appears to be safe, it would not be a good idea here. I do like the peace and tranquility of the outdoor sounds, so I can see where you feel right to sleep. I am glad you got the roommate to open the door as then the outdoor adventure would have been a bit ruined, with the expense perhaps of a locksmith.

I like to sleep in the open space where the sky is only limit when you look up. I also tried this many times and it is really relaxing. Only thing that I worry about is the rain, otherwise in the summer season it is the best place to sleep.

Camping out in the backyard, that sounds interesting for sure. I might have done that a few times years ago. Sadly right there, not that much room to really camp out right now. I just really don't have a backyard that is really geared for that sort of thing. Did go to a camp site many years ago and camp out there. It was partially owned my father's work, so as family members we got it at a discount. It was a nice place but then the work moved for another campsite and not as good. So camping can be something that I can see as extremely relaxing a lot of the time. Naturally the pressures of the world are going to bother us but we are not going to think about that all that much in the great outdoors, partially disconnected from humanity. It does sound relaxing. Maybe one day I will have a chance to go camping once again and pull myself away from modern convenience.
