I hate mosquitoes because they bite. I traveled to Colombia this year and one evening I didn't like it when many mosquitoes came out to bite me. All I wanted to do was get on the bus and travel back to the city. We had spent a day a palm fringed beach. The bus arrived and it took us to a village where we got a taxi. I was scared of having anymore mosquito bites. Some mosquitoes in the world carry malaria or yellow fever. I have a net to sleep under in that sort of place like Kenya. I have mosquito repellent to wear. In the Maldives they let a coil every evening and it worked well to keep away all the mosquitoes.

good idea but the thing is it is really expensive as you said. there are some herbs which keeps the mosquitoes away. In Sri Lanka there is a thing called "MADURUTHALA". the smell of it keeps the mosquitoes away.
Is there any kind of things like that in your countries?

they are considered pests... they love to live where humans living too...
they also love to bite especially when you are about to sleep....
mosquito sprayers are very expensive, but i forced to buy it two canisters.
Yes, two because i want a back up just in case if the other one is depleted.
mosquito coils are very irritant and your like a 2nd hand or 3rd hand smoker for wake up in the morning... bad coil smells everywhere....
what is mean is the color green coil...
but those color violet coil is a non-irritant in smoke smell but less effective compare to the green coil....

I think, most people hates mosquitoes. Only insect lovers preserve them. My boyfriend hates mosquitoes too. He got mosquito bites all over his arms and legs. Now, I gave him a mosquito repellant lotion. Maybe you should try it. It's kinda effective. :) Good luck with your mosquitoes. Hehehe

I don't even know insect lovers that love mosquitoes. They might love bees, praying mantis, lady bugs, dragon flys, butterflys and even some moths. They tend to love the cooler kind of insects. Even ants and spiders have their place but mosquitoes, cockroaches, maggots...flys..,,not cool insects and not the kind that most insect lovers are into.

and to take a note that mosquitoes in the city is a very big different to compare with those mosquitoes found in the remote Philippine Provinces, because in the province, those mosquitoes there are very big and if they bite you it's very painful compare to mosquitoes living in the cities.....
i highly recommend using anti-mosquito lotions, its a very effective self-defense against st2pid mosquitoes.....
i really hate them, that is the reason why people considered them PESTS.....
