I am using mylot search engine for my genuine requirements of solving a question paper for B.Ed. examination. But after say 10 or 15 searches it tells
We have noticed some suspicious activity for this account. Please try your search again later.

WHY? What is the bug in the search engine?

I don't know if that is a bug or a too sensitive cheat detection mechanism. There are some other members that reported the same, and after a few searches MyLot accuses them of suspicious activity. Maybe it's due to using many searches with similar keywords that the system "thinks" as if you're doing dummy searches for profit only, but in my opinion that is a very common way of using a search engine.
As long as I'm using it, I never received that message. But I only do fewer queries, say 3 or 4 maximum in a row, at least when not in my work.

Try cleaning your cookies more often, then the rewards should appear.

Hi Ravisivan,
As the several have stated one does get this message if they are detected as abusing the system. Not that our searches are not legit, it is specifically designed this way to detect if anyone is hammering away specifically for earning purposes and not for legitimate searches.
I have received it twice on two separate occasions and resumed using it after a couple of hours. I suggest to anyone if they using it consistently and a lot, probably best to wait until the next day before using it again. Simply a suggestion as there are no facts in myLot that stipulate as such.

HWG: You are right. When we get such responses, it is better to stop and try using mylot search on the next day or thereafter.

Interesting... I have never seen this before when I have done a search here. I would think you are supposed to use the search tool here, and help give myLot a way of earning online more? I have used the search function here quite often and never got this message, so it was probably a glitch of some kind. Have you ever had this happen to you since?

Well, I haven't used the search engine for much time, but I never faced the problem which you are mentioning. Maybe it is a check from Mylot to ensure that nobody takes undue advantage of the earnings through the search engine which will affect the entire site.
I would say it is a good move by Mylot to separate the genuine users from someone who tries to make a fast buck!

true when u use only three or four times in a day possibly such messages do not come. Mine is a genuine use. If it cannot be done more times that FAQ should be altered that a member is expected to use it for search occasionally and not for other needs. Occasionally may use -- four or three times a day --

Maybe since we can receive rewards by using the search engine, the monitoring work will be quite tight. This situation seems to be inevitable.
What I usually do is to think seriously before I type out the word. But I understand that sometimes we have to search for something using similar wordings in each search. So maybe you can consider using other search engine, like the search engine provided by your university to search for something academic.

It's not a bug.. it will do that if you do too many searches. The thing can detect if you are on it for more than what it considers normal.. I guess. One of my friends got her account cancelled because of searches, so be careful.

Suit yourself. I'm just telling you I know someone who got kicked off mylot for making too many searches. Not saying it will happen to you, but just be aware that suspicious activity on the search was the reason given my friend.

Yes, all of us face the same hing too as the system does not like people who change the search words often and do the searching task more than we used to do. Because it rewards people who is using it so it must be a search limitation there. Otherwise there will be some people who will abuse the system to get more bucks. Even if we are honest in using it the system can't recognize that I think~(^^)

Hello Ravisivan,
I use the MYLOT serch engine daily but i remember only once i got this message.I have observed that when you search for things very fastly the message come do it slowly please with a time interval of at least 2 mins between searches may be you won't get that message.
Also one more observation once you get a reward in a day it is more likely you will get the message when you continue it.
But i am not sure if it happens or not these are purely my observations.

I guess its a warning to all who overuse the search engine to earn maximum rewards.
Or may be you were going to violate the terms of service of mylot or something like that.
