Regular threadmill walk will help you to lose weight. when its at home, you can startup anytime at your convenience. But how often you really work on threadmills at home? I have a friend of mine, who got threadmill at home 6 month back., Initially he used it for 1 hr daily.. he now occassionally finds time to walk on threadmill. Is this the same with you?

I love home treadmills. I dont have one at this time, but my mom got one for my sister years back. We used it for awhile. My sister actually did lose weight. Home treadmills are very convienient. You can watch it while watching tv. I know you can do that at a gym, but they have televisions you has to share. Also sometimes the treadmills are full and you have to wait on an empty one. I'm thinking about purchasing another home treadmill. If you are serious about losing weight, a home treadmill is the way to go...thenextguru97...

yeah, home threadmills are really convienient, as its one time investment and you'll be sharing it only with your family memebers at your home. But do you maintain the same craze even after a year of purchase??

i would LOVE a treadmill in my house. i don't have one, but where i used to live we had a small gym that had one. it was fun to walk and watch TV since I was scared to walk outside because i was pregnant. my grandmother also had one when i was little, but it was the manual kind where if you walked, it moved. 30 min a day would be good for someone with a treadmill, but i can see why some people get a little lazy, it's hard to work out. i have a wii fit with a stepping board, at some point i was doing 1 hr a day but now that i've gotten busy i hardly get on it. it's sad but you need motivation and dedication to do some of these things.

I was excited when my parents brought home a treadmill unexpectedly. I was ready to use it regularly, just like your friend, until I discovered the major pitfall of the treadmill: it's so boring! Even after trying to listen to music or watch a video while on the treadmill, I found that the incessant plodding along bored me to tears. I need the feeling of moving forward while I walk, making progress in some way. Walking and walking on a treadmill feels fruitless to me, like a lot of effort for no reason. I can't fool myself into enjoying the thing, so I've basically given it up. Maybe I'll invest in some mats to put under the machine so that I can actually run on it. That might make it a little more interesting!
