My family is not very rich. Now,I have no job.But some other families have more money than me.So they don't need work to earn more money that they can have a very happy life. They have their own car and house. We don't have anything and we are making our best to find more way to earn money.

First realize that money does not equate happiness. Money can give you more options, but a dollar sign does not guarantee merry satisfaction. My real life best friend is the daughter of a successful chiropractor. They own a nice town house and a ranch. They have three cars. However, they are some of the most miserable people I know. My best friend is held to impossible standards.. She must walk on egg shells around her parents at all times. Her mother seems to be always stressed too. Plus, they have to pack up and move to the ranch each weekend to check on the afternoon. Moving every weekend would get tiresome after awhile.
My family is not as wealthy as them, but we laugh and smile. We can also relax since we don't have the responsibilities that come with greater material holdings.
The world is not fair. The attempts to create an economically equal society have failed (Soviet Russia). There will always be rich and poor. However everyone has a choice of whether they are happy or not. That choice does not have to rely on how much money they have to their name.

I think I can relate to your best friend's situation. Like her, I can say that I live a comfortable life courtesy of my parents. They are very good people and have good jobs and people like them. But we are awkward as a a family since my parents are career people, particularly my mother who is like an ideal person. She is an over achiever and I was happy when she finally chose to live with my father in another place becuase I can't help feeling an inferiority complex when she's around.
Even though we live a comfortable life, my parents taught us how to earn our worth and save. My mother is a person who saves every cent if she can help it. That means thrift stores and second hand materials. She wasn't a complete Scrooge but there is always emphasis on quality materials that can lasts compared to fad things. It's not that we cannot afford anything or we can't buy whatever we want but we know how to use money wisely.
I agree on your points. Money is just a tool - it isn't everything. An old and scratchy phrase says that the best things in the world is free. I guess it still lives up to this modern age.

I forgot to add...there are many injustice and unfairness in this world...instead of looming over these things, try to think of blessings instead of gloomy topics.

This argument can go on and on and it won't serve any purpose.I am in agreement with my earlier friends when they say money can't buy you happiness. There are plenty who have money and aren't happy. Its best we try to work hard get life skills so we can earn more money instead of feeling we have been let down by circumstances. There are so many who are self made. You can be one of them,if you set your mind to it and work towards making it a success.

Sadly, life is not fair, and some people have more money than others. But the good news is that money doesn't necessarily bring joy. Money is not in itself a negative thing; nor is wealth. But wealth can bring its own problems. Those who are relatively poor can know great peace and inner content. I think the important thing is to count one's blessings, the ways in which one is lucky. Often, struggling in life can build strong character, and make one appreciate the good things in life, so we work hard to get them. It doesn't matter when. Young people work hard to achieve their goals, but it's never too late to try and realise one's dreams.

The way life goes are quite different from person to person. Do you believe in astrology ? The astrologers will say that life proceeds as predicted and dictated by the horoscopes. Some get rich, some get poor, some get happy, some get sad, and so on.

Everyone has things differently. Sometimes those who earn so much money go off and spend it like it's burning a hole in their pants just sitting there, and some people who have little also spend it like they have a lot. People act differently under stress and pressure, and the number two cause of money loss other then bills and groceries is stress!
I am sorry that you are having a difficult time, I am as well. I hope you can find a good job soon to help your family. In the mean time don't worry about what others are saying or doing with their money, just do what you can for yourself and for your family as well.

Have you read the book or watched the CD 'The Secret'? If not please do it now. We all think that people become rich just like that. Of course there is a small percentage of those who are fortunate to win a lottery and become rich. But 99% of those who are rich have gone through tough times before they became rich and reached where they are today

I find it odd that a lot of people equate living comfortably with being rich. Just because someone owns a house, cars, has a good job, and pays all their bills doesn't mean they are rich. Perhaps they just manage what they have better than someone who has less. Maybe they make sure that all of their bills or things they have to pay for on a monthly or yearly basis is always less than what comes in.
Happiness is something you choose, it is not based on how much money you have or material possessions.

MOney is just a material thing that you can always find if you are very resourceful. Be thankful that you at least have your family to support you and be with you. Life is much easier when there a people like family to give us moral support and encourage us to reach our dreams.
I lost my parents because of money. When they were alive they were too busy making money. We were happy but not as happy as those family who can spend more time with each other.
And please don't compare yourselves to others. It will only make you vain and bitter. Be your own self, find your own money, never look at what others have, rather be thankful of what you have.

Hello chaoxu,
There are few reasons some people are rich & some are poor:
Some people have good luck and they get huge parental money so they become rich automatically.
Some people do have a habit of working hard so they get good job/have good business so they become rich.
Some people do find wrong ways to earn like smuggling, thefts, robbery etc.
Some people do get money in lottery/donations that makes them rich.
But the second option is the right way & we should always try hard to earn & to become rich.
