No wonder from the last fight that won by the azkals against sri lanka makes the team popular specially on the country. Incorporated to this, athletes tend to become coincided with showbizz. Azkals are not just popular because of their ability and pride they brought but also we can't deny the fact because of some member of the team having good looks since some of them are half. Its always a trend in the philippines incorparating famous athletes in showbizz like the issue today in magazines about rape issue.

It's a consequence of fame. And since they are hot materials, such allegations will be associated with them due to the same fame. Of course, it is another story if they are guilty of the said charge but since most of these 'cases' are often made up to draw publicity (bad PR is still PR) it somehow benefits the team. People have been fascinated with the bad things and bad type of people and I won't be surprised if this is really a PR tactic rather than worthy and genuine news.

I dont really know. Besides its not a cons but taking chances just to earn from the fame of other people. It degrades our athletes honestly. Thats why I hate showbizz. Its what I perceive...

Not you also have to admit that the Azkals need all the attention they can get. Their sport isn't exactly the most popular one in our country and the jump into showbiz is usually the most perceived way of getting it. Of course, there is also consequences in this action but they should knew it before they made the decision.

I think this is a made-up story of someone who either hates them or someone who is working for them. I agree, bad PR is still PR and so this issue is set loose to either ruin the Azkals or make them famous even more. Whatever the truth is, my support for them will not fade.

Yes, I agree. This is what a Conspiracy Theory is all about: that there is always someone/some group manipulating things in our society to gain benefits. In this case, I think that it was all done to make them famous even more. The script is tacky, hardly believable. They even included Dan Palami in the scene. And Coach Weiss is in it too because he doesn't want to grant interviews, so therefore he's the other mastermind. And Neil is allegedly guilty because he left for the UK too soon. haha. I suppose the PFF is also an accomplice. And timing is so right and precise, just weeks before the Kuwait game, that it's obvious, somebody made the effort, and this is not coincidence. Wow! Everybody is involved in the crime? That's unbelievable. Anyway, good luck Azkals. You shouldn't be afraid of the Kuwait players. They are just men. And to borrow a phrase from Rocky 3, from Apollo Creed to Rocky Balboa: "Be more man than him!" Basta panalo kayo sa Kuwait, lahat kami Alis sakeet, Alis pain! hehe :)

I think there could be some truth to it but I don't think it's rape. It could probably be a hustler as a gift to the guys for their win and that lady would've been paid handsomely. Besides, she's not complaining right? otherwise she would've been the first to go out and cry rape. And who will complain if you'll be banged up by those good looking athletes, it's more like a treat for a one night stand and getting paid for it in the process. But that's just my theory. If there's rape then the victim should have come out already and the claim shouldn't have come from someone "claiming" to have witnessed the incident because that just sounds shady.

The person who reported the rape should go forth and present evidences. If not, then he should be prepared for the consequences, including prison time for slander. If there is really such an incident then this is a serious crime which the sports authorities should not tolerate. But so far I dont see any lawmen or victims charging any Azkal players of such crime, so it looks like this is a vicious demolition job by a jealous loser.

The one who wrote about the rape article has a grudge because he wasn't taken as a consultant , i think , as the manager explained last night. Nonetheless, he will still thoroughly investigate the allegation. However, in my opinion, it was just meant to put down the mood of the players, since they are now practicing heavily for their forthcoming game against the those from Kuwait. How can someone do that to those foreigners who are trying their best to win the game!
