The cinematography in this movie is really excellent, the whole sepia look to the film and the way the battle scenes are portrayed are really path breaking, after the Matrix. The bravery of the 300 Spartans was really inspiring, and you walk out of the theatre with the feeling that you also should never get intimidated when faced with a mammoth task, however small resources you have at your disposal.

"Brothers and sisters, lend me your eyes so I may share with you the tale of brave Leonidas I, King of Sparta, son of King Anaxandridas II, descendant of Heracles, who led 300 Spartan warriors against the seemingly unending forces of Emperor Xerxes of Persia at The Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC." Wow, what a very nice run-on sentence.

you're talking about 3oo.fantastic movie.they say it was based on a true story.the battle of Thermopylae(I'm not sure about the spelling), there were 3oo Spartans, but there are other allied hundreds of Greeks, a unit that was supposed to be guarding the Spartan's back got scared and so they were surrounded at the end. 2 thumbs up.one of the best movie of all time.......

I liked 300, and im pretty sure they did just about everything with green screen. The only thing i really did not like about the movie was the historical innacuracies, but it was done for dramatic effect. The spartans would have fought in the phalanx and not broken it until they were defeated. Although it was much more interesting to watch them run out and fight than just thrust spears for a couple hours...
