Hello fellow mylotters. I just took one of those IQ tests online and found that my IQ has dropped to an average score. It used to be above average. I am very concerned now. Are aliens eating my brains, are the cats sucking the intelligence right out of me. I don't know what is going on. I try to be smart, and watch the history channel, read, get involved a leetle tiny bit in politics. It seems my efforts are futile. should I just throw in the towel and stop trying to be smart?
What would you do if you were me and you found your IQ points slipped by 25 points? Have you ever taken an online IQ test and found it may not be accurate?

The fact that you are here on my Lot and do this everyday lets me know you're GENIUS! Forget the test. Those things are rigged. Look at all the wonderful things you know about and do on a daily basis. It doesn't take science to figure out you're one savvy lady! I would pay no attention to that test at all. I have just learned something from you as we speak...stay away from tests that make smart people question themselves. Have a great day in the LOT!

I agree, writergirl, these are rigged to get the answers they feel will help them to sell whatever they are pushing at the time.

These people that come up with these tests are always trying to find ways to get into the mind of unsuspecting consumers and its not right. Deception at its finest is what I call it. She should not feel dumber in anyway over this monstrosity!

Thank you for thinking I am a genius! lol. I think that is the first time anyone has ever said that to me. I shall savor it, maybe copy the post to facebook to show my friends I really is smart!
These online tests are not to be taken seriously I know. Even so, to have it go from 128 to 103 is quite a lot! I have witnessed scores between 115-120something, but this one is ridiculous. Now it makes me wonder if the other IQ tests I took were too high............
I am still waiting for the confirmation email too, just to make sure I get the points from the program I signed through to take this thing. I have a feeling if by now it has not come, it never will and I am out those points.

GET RID OF THE CATS!!! YES, it's the cats sucking the intelligence out of you!!!
Seriously...I don't trust those online tests to be accurate!!! Like most things on the internet, they are there to make money!!! They don't care if the results show you've lost 100 points as long as they make money!!! So, I wouldn't worry about the results from those freakin tests!!!

Do you use your mind alot?? Do you focus on learning all the time??? Mind power is a funny thing. If you don't use it, you lose it. Exercise your mind studying and learning for six months then take the test again. You will do much better with a sharper quicker mind. Use it or lose it!! Neural Plasticity.

That is probably accurate. My interests are in anything but math, and the math questions are what get me every time. I have slipped quite a bit in my knowledge of the subject over the years.

I never take a test of IQ online because I don't know wheather they are right .I heard for success EQ is most important, don't take it to your heart,it's only a test.I know everyone wants to be smart but smartness is not everything to be success,in another word,IQ is not enough to gain success.

True, it is not. But it helps! I do know many very intelligent people I swear could have gone to college and got a degree in something, but they barely had a high school or even grade school education. Probably they would not be able to get a high score on an IQ test, but they are genius. Then again, I know some college educated folks who must have cheated on their exams or got a fake diploma through the internet because I just can't fathom someone with such a high education being so light in the gears!

You need not worry about it my friend because tests are these are not the only measure for you intellect. If you think of it, you had an average score and it is getting lower. You see, if IQ test is a the only real measure, then the results should have been the same as you had before. I have read that in any exam we take we can be a affected by a lot of factors in life. The diet we take in the morning or in a course of a day may affect our performance during exams. Anything can affect that way our brains function. So can stress, problems and other factors. So don't worry.

Thank you. That is true, if it were a real test it would be much closer to the real score.

I am curious about this online IQ test you are talking about
Definitely, you should not throw in the towel. Maybe you were just bored when you took the test, or maybe you were distracted, but by all means continue trying to be smart and absorb as much information as you can.
Have a nice day!

I cannot remember the name of it now, and would not be able to find it again. I got it through Memolink and they are supposed to credit me 240 points for taking it, but I have not received the confirmation email so perhaps I will not see the credit for it.

It is great that you took IQ tests online. Hope you can provide some links to them for our fellow mylotters. I'll be very glad to you.
As far as your IQ points are concerned, Do not worry about them dear everything will be fine. Sometimes it is just that we are tired while giving the test and sometimes the ranking of different tests is different from the other.
Just have a nice time! Have fun!

I lost the link to it because I had to reboot my computer. It would be interesting to know what others scores would have been though. Then again, if my IQ really did drop, it would not be so good to know.

well i dont think your IQ is down..it may be possible that the questions that were asked in the test were not known by you...why you take it negatively think the test in a positive manner like take the knowledge from the questions and you are luck they you got to know so many questions from the IQ that were previously not known to you...take it in the positive way..and keep taking tests and gain more and more knowledge but always make sure that the questions which you are unable to answer..you must study those questions with concentration like what is their answers,,collect full details about the question..iam sure your IQ will be a lot better than many..i too gain lots of knowledge about things iam unaware of...so dont get sad when you dont find answers..think that you got so many things to learn...good luck.
