I babysit my 12 & 8yr old granddaughters, and we enjoy watching TV together. Some shows I like watching with them are: Good Luck Charlie ( love this show), Wizards of Waverly place, Everybody hates Chris, Ant Farm, and a few other shows. So do you take the time to sit down with your kids and watch shows they like, and talk about them later?

I do definitely. Part of it could be I'm a big kid myself. We are always watching Disney and its various shows. Cartoon Network is another staple in my house. The boys love Ben10 and Superhero cartoons, so do I. The show Big Time Rush is starting to catch on with them now

Yes, sometimes we have to chill out and be like a kid. Watching these shows can sometimes relive stress and let us take a break from grown up life, for just a bit, plus having fun with the kids and spending time with them.

My kids are 8, 6 and 3. We watch tv shows together all the time. I still like a lot of the shows like that. I like Wizards of Waverly Place too. I always liked shows that involved some sort of magic, witches or wizards. I have only seen part of Ant Farm. I think a lot of the Disney shows teach them life lessons.

Yes this is true, and there is always a lesson to be learned at the end of the show, which is important to send positive messages to our children.

My kids are grown with children of their own now but when they were young, I loved to watch their programs with them. We loved Sesame Street, Mister Rogers, Mister Dress up, and The Partridge Family. We all loved to join in the songs and rhymes and shouted out answers. I think watching kid shows with your kids, helps to teach them how to interact and to think for themselves. It's also a wonderful family time activity.

I don't have kids but if I did I would watch shows with them to make sure they are not getting a bad influence from them. I used to occasionally see some Sat. morning kid shows when running late and they would come on while I was eating breakfast. I was particularly annoyed and thought an episode of Winnie the Pooh was dangerous for kids to see. In that episode the kid on the show blew up a balloon with just air by holding it to his lips. Then Winnie used it to go floating off of a cliff and it held him up like a helium balloon, even though just one helium balloon that size would not have been enough. I could just see kids copying that and jumping out of second story windows expecting the air filled balloon to support them.

I love watching everybody hates chris. Anyways I'm 18 and I sometimes watch tv with my 2 yr old sister. I'm actually surprised at some of the things they show to kids nowadays. But other shows are enjoyable. Though she's more into shows that aren't specifically directed towards toddlers. She loves watching music videos, any shows that include animals(ex. animal cops). Her favorite show is america's got talent. Anytime I change the channel she get's mad.

Sometimes I even watch these shows when my grandkids are not here. I like to watch something that is funny without the drama of everyday real life problems.

Yes, I do watch kid shows with my daughter before because it is one of our bonding time and in that way I also teach her while watching. Now that she's in her teen age year, we also watch the program she likes together, she loves to watch glee and life in the suite deck. She still wants me to be with her all the time.Hope she'll stay that way.

That is great, we all need bonding time with our kids. I think it helps us to know them better sometimes.

There are a couple I watch occasionally with my grandson. Two guys names and then Sonic. He used to watch Ben-10 but I think he quit. He is very into his video games and I think Mario Bros. is his favorite. He loves Lego stuff. All the boy stuff. I finance him and he takes out my trash and does other things for me. Pretty good deal I think!

Yes, i always watching kid shows with my son. I even watch musical shows for kids with my sin because he likes to ask a lot and i need to explain them to him.I think kids can learn a lot through watching kid shows on TV. That's why, it is very important not to let them watch violence shows. Because it can influence their way of thinking.
